We were staying at a nearby 4* Hotel and passed the Pixel then read the reviews. So literally knocked on the door, the host Mehdi showed us around in a delightful welcoming manner. The converted Villa was spotlessly clean. So on our next visit we stayed a couple of nights. Compared to the expensive 4* this now small Hotel with just 8 rooms was great. OK bring your own shower gel but all the rooms have air con, a fridge and hair dryer. The pool is refreshingly deep at one end 1.9m so it did not get unpleasantly warm as some small pools can get. Beach 7 mins, Banks, Bars, Supermarkets all on the door step. We returned recently and sadly Covid put an end to breakfasts but there are bars serving low price breakfasts 100m away. We simply take the train from the Airport (02 22 42 past the hour) to La Colina (10 mins) and its a 12-15 min walk all mostly downhill! Although its the opposite on the return journey! We have given up on the 4* its the Pixel for us!!…
We have just returned from our second visit to the Pixel Hotel (February 2022 and April 2022). The service provided by the proprietor is absolutely fantastic with highly competitive prices. We love the code system which means that you don't have to carry a key around with you and it gives you the freedom to come and go as you please. This was fantastic for us when we arrived in the early hours of the morning. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the housekeeping team are fantastic; servicing our room every morning. The location is much quieter than the rest of Torremolinos however we enjoyed this. The area has a 'local' feel to it. The centre of Torremolinos is within walking distance and there is a bus stop within a 10 minute walk from the hotel which links you with Malaga and other towns along the coast. A taxi from the airport ranges between 10 and 25 euro depending on the time of your arrival. The hotel does have a pool. We didn't personally use this however sure it would be lovely during the summer. We absolutely loved our two stays at the Pixel and would highly recommend a stay. We will definitely be returning next year. The whole area is amazing to explore and we felt very welcome throughout our visit …
Pixel has a number of commendable qualities. A great pool and garden, friendly helpful staff and a good location. With a small number of rooms, it has an intimate feel, although this can also count against it when guests do not show enough respect to others. We were unfortunate enough to share the property with a noisy and highly inconsiderate extended family group. This ruined our stay. The staff were sympathetic but could take no action. We were offered an additional night for free, but had other commitments. The family from hell also had a complete disregard for the COVID restrictions in the communal areas, although more guidance could have been posted.
We stumbled on this fantastic hotel via tripadvisor. We extended a Spanish holiday for a week and stayed here- we wished we had a month to spare. Seamless check-in via what’s app. Spotless rooms. Delicious plentiful breakfast. Comfortable beds. Wonderful private swimming pool. Really friendly owner providing a warm welcome and invaluable local information. Ideal location- easy walk to all the restaurants, beach and shops. We have found a new home from home on the Costa del Sol. Looking forward to our next visit,!
What the people working at Pixel did to make this stay great, was absolutely amazing. Guest service like this is very rare. They hotel offer a very good deal, very well priced, near the Airport :) Breakfast was also amazing, can´t put a finger on anything. Thank you for making this stay so memorable.
Spotlessly clean. Access was do easy with coded entry instead of keys meaning we could come and go as we pleased without checking if we had keys. Pool area was so tranquil. The host was so very friendly and helpful couldn't have done more for you. We booked a triple bedroom and found it had plenty of space and a wet room which would have been ideal for any body with disabilities too. Small fridge in room and safe. Beds were comfortable and storage was also great. Will be staying here again for sure.
What a perfect little gem this hotel is. A converted villa with 8 rooms away from all the high rise claustrophobic hotels. We stayed for 3 nights as a short break but will be back. From the very warm welcome and excellent communication before arrival, to the ample breakfast and beautiful pool. Even after we'd checked out of our room we were made to feel more than welcome to use everything else till our flight that night. Even when the air conditioner speed working it was fixed in less than an hour. Not even five minutes walk from the beach in a lovely quiet area and around a very gentle ten minute stroll into town. We really can't recommend Pixel Hotel high enough.
The Pixel hotel is a cute, 8-room boutique hotel. We had a triple on the first floor. The room was clean, had storage, a tiny fridge, and AC. Unfortunately, the TV didn't work, but since we had free wifi, it didn't really bother us. The bathroom had no division between the shower and toilet and sink. I know this is a common style, but we weren't crazy about it. Also, the wall between the beds and bathroom was opaque glass. While it looked good, it didn't provide a ton of privacy - so be pretty comfortable with your fellow travelers ! :) The grounds and pool were well-cared for. Breakfast was decent. Apparently you could bring your own food to prepare, if you'd like. We didn't do that, but saw other guests who did,The property was accessible through a keypad and your own code that the owner sends you the day of check-in. There wasn't any parking, so we had to find a spot on the street. There were a few bars/restaurants within a block or 2. The beach was about a 10-minute walk. Torremolinos was not exactly what I expected, but our stay at the hotel was a good one.…
We stayed for two nights in October, the staff were very helpful (by WhatsApp) in letting us know how to access the room (there is no front desk). The room was small and quite noisy when guests come and go or eat breakfast as the hotel is essentially a converted house in a residential area. Besides the few periods of noise at night when people unlocked their doors and in the morning when they moved the chairs in the eating area above our room, the pillows were also terrible, so a good sleep wasn't in the cards. Not a great start to our vacation.
We stayed for one night before traveling Saville. I feel that we found the perfect little oasis with a secluded feel and centrally located. Good points: Close to the beach (8 min walk) Central to many restaurants Clean rooms, comfortable beds and high pressured hot showers Friendly people and atmosphere Kitchen to make your own food Stunning pool Modern look and feel Coded doors, no need for room keys We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. Will definately return!
