This hotel is very economical based in the centre of beachfront Torremolinos. The rooms were basic but clean with regular changes of towels and linen. The owner was friendly and very helpful. also the owner of the bar underneath the hotel. also very near the relatively new lift from the beachfront to the centre of the town.
Stayed here for a week with my husband and our 18 month old daughter. Room was big, plenty of storage space, air conditioning, TV and private bathroom. Very well maintained and spotless clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Always asked if we needed anything. Room was cleaned every day and there was no problem if we needed extra towels etc. The location is perfect, the beach just a minute walk and access to the lift that takes you to the town centre is right beside the hostel. It is on a busy little shopping street but the noise levels were OK. We managed just fine for the week even with a baby. There was a fridge and microwave just beside our room and a sun terrace also. As we spent most of the day outside this was the perfect place for us to lay our heads at night. We will definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money and excellent service. …
Cleanliness was really poor. The mattresses were old with springs coming through. The was no fridge in the room but a joint use fridge on the landing which was disgusting inside. No air conditioning. Only one socket in room which only took a slim line two pin plug not a round two pin plug so you could not plug in appliances or mosquito plugs. Eaten alive by insects. Some previous tenants had been sick down the curtains which were stained with it. Shower doors kept falling off and were covered in mould at the top and really mouldy at the bottom. Towels were provided and like in previous reviews, very poor quality and very small (different designs every day!! Left over from previous guests trough the years...? ) No tv. Seats on patio were rusted and stained. Patio only cleaned intermittently. No cooking facilities not even a glass or a plate. Worst place I have ever stayed. Will not return. …
In absolute terms it is of course very far from a luxury hotel . But it is incredibly cheap, is perfectly clean and is in a superb location within Torremolinos. Many of the rooms have fridges and cooking kit, which we did not know in advance. I was there as part of a 12 bloke cycling trip around Andalucía and they had agreed in advance to store the bikes locked indoors.
I recommend it. great people, great rooms, great country, I love Spain. Typical tourist area. Close to the beach, close to restaurants, close to shops if you want to buy any kinds of souvernirs. Close to night clubs.
I stayed for one night with a female friend before travelling on to Alcaudete, Jaen and we loved it. We were warmly welcomed and given a choice of two rooms but took a twin room on the second floor overlooking the street. It was spotlessly clean. The beds had crisp, fresh sheets. The room fan was necessary but it was rather squeaky & wobbly! Downstairs by the pretty patio garden there was a fridge freezer and a microwave for general use. My friend, however, did find the similarity of the doors confusing and she walked into the bedroom of a man not known to us! I had to return to the UK for a wedding but my friend is, as I write, back in Hostal Micaela enjoying the remaining days of her holiday.
we decided to stay just beacuse beds were clean. but beds were the only clean thing. we had to clean everything in the bathroom and in the kitchen. seems the hotel was built in 1972 and never had any renovation until then. the shower was yellow due to the dirty. we found hair in the shower and all over the bathroom. the conditioner was a dirty fan. thank god we could eat outside because the kitchen was oily (to be nice). Micaela, who is an old lady, seems not to care about anything. On the contrary, the girl working for her was very nice but we understood she couldn't do anything for us. we are 2 girls, friends and we've been in other dirty hostels before, but never seen nothing like this. we think micaela is waiting to see her hostel completely free of clients to renovate. KEEP AWAY FORM THIS PLACE.…
returned this year for my second year in Torremolinos :) VERY friendly owner(s) and the room was comfortable and clean location could not be any better and it really feels like you are guests of Micaela so much history in this place as Micaela seems to know all the famous people of Spain has WiFi and rooms are newly remodeled highly suggest this place as I'll always return :)
We arrived unannounced late in the afternoon, but the owner was accommodating. As it was the middle of January we were the only guests. We were shown our room and given the access code for WiFi. Overall the rooms are basic but clean and functional. The owner is friendly and very helpful. The location is great for exploring the city centre and beaches on foot.
Enjoyed our stay in our double room with bathroom. Nice view overlooking the old streets, can be a bit noisy come early morning. Helpful and friendly owner. Location was great. Room was clean and decorated tastefully. WIFI as well.
