Yes they really did change the pre-paid breakfast buffet to a basket of nine types of bread early on during my 11 night stay as the other reviewer says without any consideration for dietary needs in order to prioritise the football team staying there. All the staff are really lovely but are working in an uncomfortable and tense management culture where they are spoken to harshly in public spaces. Complaints process is abominable, reactionary and no genuine sense that the guest's comfort is a priority. I eventually offered to make a charitable donation if Aldea would match it when i complained about how i had been treated in order to confirm their sincerity but they could only offer a meal although I had by that time already returned home. Rooms are very clean and pleasant with private south facing balconies but this is a health resort and there are no refreshments, tissues, pen/paper in the room. There is a fridge but you buy your own drinks at the bar and carry them there. Don't believe any promise in the literature of a shuttle bus and it is a distance to any shops. There is nothing Aldea can say to retrieve this experience now. I was recovering from major surgery and was left feeling very upset by management behaviour and I missed meals as a result. This review would have focused on the wonderful staff there if I had been treated with dignity, respect and understanding by the head managers. I was not alone in having this bad experience there in July 2018.…
The changed the breakfast from buffet to litterly 3 bread slices and butter the 4th day we stayed there and blamed it on the booking company. But the real reason was that some football team needed the breakfast area for them selfes. The cleaning was really bad. I don't recommend this at all very bad experience.
Our 2 day break could not have come at a better time. We found the hotel to be extremely quiet and very clean. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom and a private terrace overlooking the pool area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The menu at the restaurant was a bit limited and pricey although the quality of the food was very good. We loved using the spa which had very good facilities and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool, it was great not to have to fight for a sunbed !! The location of the hotel is quite good as Benahavis is only a few minutes drive away and Marbella being about 15 minutes on the motorway which is easily accessible from the hotel. All in all, this was a lovely relaxing weekend and I would definately recommend the hotel and facilities.…
We stayed 3 days at this very nice resort. The rooms are top class and that goes for the pool area as well. Staff were good and speak english very well. Spa treatments were great. The only negative thing was the menucard at the restaurant and by the pool bar. It was extremely limited - and several of the courses were not available. But all in all I give it my recommandations and I will probably be back later.
This place is very well equipped for to relax. Rooms very wel equipped. No minbar, but a special bed for invalid people is available. Also with a antidecubidus maitras. Then the breakfast is not bad, could be better. A bit More bread variations would be welcome. This room eas devided in two parts, one for regular guests and the other for the guests who where operated and needed to recopurate. Fresh fruit, fresh Ojay and milk available. Yoghurt.(Activia) Then the personal is and was very service minded and helpful and kind ! Compliment on this ! The resteaurant menu had not to many varirations, but quality was good, a litlle high, price wize . The garden, swimming pool and spa were very clean and neat! We have had a great time for a week ! Compliments
My husband and I have just had 3 lovely nights at this great hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean with good water pressure for the shower and constant hot water at any time. The breakfast was the best selection we have had, including options for coeliacs and those who cannot have dairy. The pool was lovely and clean and the food at the poolside restaurant / bar was delicious and very generous portion sizes. We didn't struggle to get a bed by the pool at any point in the day. There is a well equipped gym with good air conditioning. Lovely hydro therapy pool and steam room / sauna. All very clean and modern. The wifi was excellent, no drop in signal and you could even get a good signal by the pool. Lovely friendly staff, really welcoming. The facility caters for those requiring special assistance and has physical therapy, it is good to know there is a place like this should we ever require it. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. We will actively seek out other hotels they may have as the level of service was so impressive. 3 stars does not do it justice. …
One of the best getaways.. ever. The staff was great and they do take care of you. I went there for a week and would stay for good. Nice swimming pool. Take my advice and unwind at this place. Im looking forward to comming back again.
The staff made you feel welcomed and ensured that all your needs are taken care of. The cleanliness of the resort is amazing. The resort is A peaceful escape and a value for money. Should be rated much more than 3 stars. Will be returning for breaks from time to time. Frederick the owner was around a bit, very informative and accommodating, this rubs of on his staff from the resort manager to the masseuses. They really made our last minute honeymoon something to remember which we can't thank them for enough. If it's peace and relaxation that you desire, you will not go wrong if you stay at the Aldea.
Aldea la Quinta is situated in a tranquil spot, off the major Coast roads but is only a few minutes by car from Puero Banus, Marbella etc. The AP7 (inexpensive toll motorway) can quickly connect one to Estepona, Malaga, Gibraltar and other, usually crowded destinations with great ease. Thereafter, I'd recommend you retire to the oasis of peace and quiet, that is Aldea.. From the moment we arrived at reception and were greeted by the cheerful Natalia and her assistant, to the first impressions of the immaculately-clean and spacious rooms (ours with wholly secluded balcony), we were struck by how well this Belgian-owned resort is run. The pool area is a delight - large pool, surrounded by tropical and Andalusian flora that is always well maintained - and Isabel, at the poolside bar, ensured we were always hydrated with drinks of different kinds and nibbling at crisps or somesuch! She was also present at the breakfast buffet, together with her friendly colleagues from the cafeteria area and it would take a truly fastidious traveller not to be content with the variety and quantity of drinks and food made available at this spa hotel, at that first meal of the day. Time on the Costa was tight for us on this occasion, so we didn't book a spa treatment but there was a wide spectrum on offer and the sauna/Turkish bath/Jacuzzi were available on a complimentary basis (also towelling gowns and pool towels). This is a well-priced, well-run establishment and we will be back, either as an R&R destination or as a central spot from which to visit the rest of the Costa del Sol. …
Just spent a long weekend with friends at this resort. The rooms and the whole hotel are absolutely spotless. The pool area is well maintained and very relaxing. The rooms could do with more instructions e.g. That the beds are all adjustable. A few things for the management to consider - the lunch menu is very expensive, they would be better offering smaller, simpler food at a more reasonable price. The spa treatments are also expensive ( double the cost of the UK). The spa pool and saunas etc are lovely and free to use, well worth a visit. If you are going out and about take one of the hotel cards for the taxi driver, not that this ensures they go the right way! The hotel is not well known so it can be a bit hit and miss. Overall if you are looking for a chilled break this hotel is ideal.…
