Spent the weekend attending One Team Global Success Summit Marbella. Senator hotell was next to the conference. Never stayed at a luxury hotel before. Will come back next year! Very friendly staff. Helped me with taxi and booking the bus to the airport, and how to get to Puerto Banus
Please be aware that the use of the spa pool and gym used in all of the marketing pictures is not included in the price of the room. It's an additional 19 euros for two people EACH TIME YOU USE IT and needs to be booked! (This is not stated anywhere on Expedia etc) The hotel room was ok, beds were comfy but the room could use some TLC. Breakfast was good. Not sure I saw a single member of staff smile or sound friendly during our whole stay (albeit we were wearing masks)
We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. All of the staff work very hard, are friendly and always happy to help. The hotel is well located and is within walking distance to the beach and town. The spa is very nice and well equipped.
Initially one of our favourite hotels in the area. We like the long beach walk in and out of town. Staff are good. The hotel does need some TLC in general. The main negative is that it has become the "go to" for stag and hen groups on a budget. Management appear to try their best to negate this by means of profiling and seperation. It works to a degree. In terms of value for money there are good deals to be had but keep your expectations based on the price paid.
Public areas in need of overhaul. One of two lifts out of order for the whole week. Staff, particularly restaurant waitresses disinterested in guests, simply going through the motions and surly when approached. Most annoying though, the cost of using the indoor pool, at 19 euros for 90 minutes. Told there was a two for the price of one, but as I was on my own, this did not extend to me. Frankly this is no way to run a hospitality business. Have never been asked to pay to use a pool in a hotel previously when staying as a guest. I was given this information in a surly manner by someone who had lost my telephone booking in department. Completely inflexible response from reception staff when raising the matter later, without apology. Remodernisation of facilities/customer service staff training necessary. Now await standard, I’ll thought out response!…
