We stayed here in September and were greeted by a rather muddled and reluctant host. I'm not sure that guests were actually expected or welcome. The owner was in dispute with Booking.com and we kept getting crazy emails to say that she was not paying for our booking. Anyhow, we were asked to pay for our 3 nights up front in cash despite credit card being listed as a method of payment. We refused to pay cash and were able to make a visa payment after all. We had breakfast on the first morning which cost €10 each and not worth the money. The pool area was lovely and we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. However, I would never go back and would never have found it without satnav.
Very difficult to find and far from the beach. No restaurants nearby. You NEED a car if you are staying there, since there is no public transportation to go back and forth from the hills where the CASA is located. Taxis are NOT easy to find and walk around the maze where is located without a GPS is impossible. The owner needs to brush up a little bit on her customer service skills. Since she had a situation with the hotel booking service, she was not expecting us at all. We rang the bell many, many times, knock on the door for one hour -as spaniards do- probably she was doing LA SIESTA and we were at the door outside in that extremely August' hot weather. We were trying to communicate with the property for more than an hour after a long flight and a two hour drive, we were calling, knocking and ringing the doorbell (I almost threw the door down) then, she opens up the door and just said hi I was not expecting you... Are you kidding me? She just show us the "room" and indicated that there was a fridge in the room with water bottled for 1 Euro and Wine for 8 euro...…
Visited 3 B&Bs when we visited Spain in August and this came bottom due to being jumped on for cash as soon as we arrived, told off for asking for an extra T bag as she put it "all you English do all day is drink tea ! " charged €10 each for breakfast ! Rip off !! The other B&Bs did not ! And told on the day of leaving don't hang out by the pool you make the place look untidy. Nice ! Lovely place but the hospitality was abrupt and we were spoilt by the 2 previous B&B being so warm and welcoming and informative explaining where best to eat, places to go....this one was just about money and get out in my opinion shame as the house is nice but not the hospitality we were expecting upon arrival or departure.
A wonderful change to the corporate/chain hotels. You are made to feel welcome the moment you arrive (tip; the villa is a little hard to find without sat nav). Tina and Odile are wonderful hosts and should be commended on their 5* guest house accommodation and facilities. Great rooms, lovely pool and the location is a v short drive from the beach, numerous bars and restaurants. I will mention the mini bar as this was the cause of some lively debate. For all you travellers who have become accustomed to avoiding hotel “death by mini bar” and by that I’m referring to the prices some of these places charge, do not fear, the mini bar as Casa Las Palmeras is cheap and by that I mean you are paying local supermarket prices for some top quality wines and the beers the same – so don’t hold back if you get my drift ! Already planning next visit !…
A delightful villa - like being a guest in someone's home (which you are, of course!). Very large rooms/suites with lots of seating, your own bed by the pool. Beautiful gardens and decor - like being in Bali. Super-comfortable beds. We drove to the beach and into town but the villa is well-positioned. Super hosts in the form of Tina and Odile. The fridge is stocked with delicious and good value wine and we enjoyed a couple of bottles! Nice breakfasts. We would definitely come back for a long weekend as we liked the peace and quiet (only 4 rooms, no children, quiet area) and thought that Marbella was well worth more exploring. Visited Ronda which is was stunning. Many thanks for a lovely stay!
We stayed a few days in this B&B in last december and it was nicer than in the photos we liked in internet. The two ladies who own this place are absolutly charming. The house is very confortable and we had a five star service. From the house we are very close to the beach and the center city, but also to plenty of very nice places like Ronda, Mijas and Malaga. We planed to come back on summer and frankly recomend this beautiful place.
My husband and I stayed at the Casa Las Palmeras for our 1st year anniversary, and we had such a lovely time! It's a little gem located in the hills of Marbella. It was so relaxing and beautiful at Casa Las Palmeras that we decided to spend most of our time there. It's in a private setting up the hill, but only a short drive to the beach or the old town of Marbella. It's also walking distance (or a 2 min drive) to really great restaurants that were rated high on TripAdvisor. Tina, our host, also recommended a great masseuse at the Tennis Club down the hill. Overall, our stay at Casa Las Palmeras was AMAZING! Thank you for a memorable 1st year anniversary!
Beautiful garden and pool with extremely comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Highly recommend the breakfast. Tina and Odile make you very welcome, and could not do enough for you. A really peaceful haven from the busy coast and town.
It's a very big and wonderfull house for very little people. No more than 4 couples, no children. The house and the garden are faboulus, the pool over 28º. The breakfast has everything fresh and no doubt to ask for something you would like different. The urbanization has some goods restauranys ( even an good Italian and an Indian) There is also a Tennis and Paddle Club and their Golf (Marbella Golf Club) The center city is 5mn drive and the beach of 10km is 5mn walking accross the bridge of the road. We had a very pleasant time with Tina and Odile, they are very nice and helpfull. We also appreciate to be in the only B&B without childs.
We planned to visit Andalusia for 3 weeks, stopping a few days in several places we wanted to know. We just live CASA LAS PALMERAS and if we know before coming a place like this exist, we never go anywhere else. It was just fantastic. All we like. There is just a few large suites and they don't take children, for us it was delightful, comparing with places there is so many noises around the pool. We where like in a "cocoon". We don't want this place was too much known because we want to return this summer and hope we could. The two ownwers where so sweet... Thanks very much to make this place exist...
