We had a lovely welcome when we turned up in the rain. Were offered complimentary coffee and cakes and then shown to our room. We’d chosen balcony room 101 - it was so comfortable. Right in the centre of Marbella old town so really convenient for all the restaurants. We really did have a fantastic stay, and have no doubt we will return.

Booked here for one night as it was highly recommended on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We got a very warm welcome from the gentleman that was on the desk and our room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. It is on a pedestrian street so very peaceful and a few minutes walk to the beach and old town. Nice to be able to have a cup of tea as you pleased. Well done.

My friend and I found this lovely gem for a birthday weekend away. The location is absolutely perfect, minutes in one direction to a lovely clean beach, and a few minutes the other way to the pretty, bustling old town. The facilities, whilst simple, are faultless. A lot of thought has been put into a beautiful renovation, so it has everything you’d expect for a short break. Clean, tidy, with a lovely little courtyard to catch the last of the evening sun. There’s also a nicely stocked coffee station in reception too, with little biscuits and muffins etc to tide you over until breakfast. Perfect for us, in every way.

We were greeted by the friendly owners to their wonderfully refurbished Hotel minutes away from the Old town in Marbella. Our stay was very pleasant. Leo was very helpful in recommending places to visit & eat. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for a short stay in Marbella.

We chose to book Lucero12 because of the ecellent reviews in a variety of forums, but after having stayed there for 5 nights, we were quite unsatisfied. First of all Lucero12 is not really a "hotel", it is more "a place to stay". The have four of five rooms to rent out. The location is excellent, it is very close to the Old Town and the beach promenade. However, the place is located in a small streeet with many load neighbors. Our room was spick-and-span clean when we arrived. However, if you expect "service", look for another place to stay. The reception is not engaged all the time. It is advertised that there is someone from 07:00 to 19:00, but this is not the case, especially over the weekends or public holidays. They have a small coffee machine where you can help yourself, but the coffee capsules run out pretty fast and are not being replaced regularily. Our minibar was empty and was not refilled over the time we stayed there. The rooms are being cleaned whenever it suits Lucero12 and not when we expected them to be cleaned. Towels are being exchanged only when you ask for. All in all... will I stay there again ? No

Dear Chris, We appreciate your review. Your information is very important for us to keep improving. Lucero 12 is a "hostal" according to the spanish type of accommodation and this is how it is announced: Lucero 12 Marbella Hostal Boutique. It is located on a typical andalusian pedestrian street with not too much people passing by to be in the center of Marbella. Being such an exclusive accommodation with only 5 rooms, we can not afford a 24-hour reception, however we work to offer the best possible service. Cleaning is also one of our priorities, the rooms are cleaned daily, in the morning or at the time the guest leaves. As you know, the towels that we find on the floor will be changed and also those that are really wet, always looking for the environment. Thanks again for all this information. Sincerely, Leo Sánchez

Must say Leo was a great host! This cute hotel is located about a three minute walk from the beach. It's central to restaurants, tapas bars, etc. Very large bathroom in our room.... almost the same size as our room.

My mother and I stayed here over Easter weekend during the Semana Santa festival. Firstly I have to start by staying I am a frequent traveller to Marbella and have stayed at most of the accommodation in the town but Lucero 12 tops them all. We did not recognise this accommodation when booking online but the reason is because it is NEW and opened a few weeks before we arrived so we were one of the first guests to stay here. We arrived at our accommodation early and were met by Leo the owner... Leo was very welcoming and told us he's was was getting out room ready for us he took our bags from us while we went for a walk and had some brunch. When we returned to the accommodation to get our keys Leo brought our suitcases to our room and showed us around. I was amazed by the decor the rooms are BEAUTIFUL, surprisingly big and spacious for a b&b, the rooms are decorated to a very high standard. The bathroom and shower were very clean with plenty of hot water everything is brand new. There are 5 rooms in this accommodation and it's very private and safe as only the guests have access to the property. Outside there is a huge terrace with tables and chairs, a complimentary coffee machine and biscuits which is great to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The beach is a 5mins walk which my mother loved going for a morning run along. Everything is on your doorstep that you need whether it be a supermarket, if you want to hire bikes there is a shop across the road, and if you want to explore other costal towns the bus stop is a 5min walk. Lucero 12 is in the heart of the old town where there are plenty of lovely Spanish restaurants. Léo recommended a beautiful restaurant nearby to have breakfast which was very reasonably priced. Every day our room was cleaned and tidied and if there was anything you needed Leo was always able to help. This accommodation is the nicest I have stayed in Marbella, it's modern very clean and very convenient I cannot wait to return. Sorry Léo for the delay in writing this review, I meant to write this a few months ago but it's better late than never, thank you for your hospitality, Aisling & Ann.

Just checked out of Lucero following a business meeting in Marbella. This is a new small-scale hotel which was formally a town house in the old part of Marbella. Leo, one of the co-owners, is a wonderful host. He stayed past the normal checkin time as I was on a late flight from London. My air-conditioned room was beautifully furnished with a cosy and intimate feel. There are no other amenities to the hotel other than a really nice outside courtyard. So if you’re looking for a hotel with a restaurant, late night bar and more, then this hotel is not for you. The beach is a two-minute walk.
