My wife and I spent two nights at this B & B. It seems to be a home converted to an inn with about 6 rooms. The inn is about a 5 minute drive from town and the nearest beach (but a better and more enjoyable beach is a 10 to 15 minute drive), so it is easy to get to the beach and restaurants of Marbella, yet far enough away from the crowds that can make a beachfront stay unpleasant. Our room at My Villa Alexandra was large, and simply but pleasantly decorated. Our breakfast was made to order, was varied and tasty. The owners are at the inn most of the day and evening (I do not know if they live on site), they are very friendly and happy to accommodate guests to make their stay as pleasant as possible. If you want to enjoy a beach vacation but want to return each evening to a quiet setting, this is a good choice.…
We spent four days here in total peace and tranquillity. It was a short drive from the beautiful town, which has some excellent restaurants. Alos a new development approx. 400 yards away offers three super options for snacks/dining. Marbella is about a 10 minute drive. The hotel itself is stunning, the rooms are spacious and impeccably kept. The pool area is delightful. I was taken ill whilst there so out of necessity we had to spend much time there, but it was no hardship whatsoever. Alexandra was the perfect host, attentive and caring. She is backed up by good staff members who look after your every requirement. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
I came for one night on business and loved the place so much I came back with my girlfriend for a week! The property is BEAUTIFUL! Breakfast is different everyday and is fresh, healthy & tasty. We both needed a chill after a hectic six months and My Villa Alexandra did the job... 5 minutes walk to shops, bars & restaurants, 10 minute drive to Puerto Banus (€11 in a taxi), Alexandra, David & her staff are superb and the suite we had was delightful.
We booked our trip to My villa Marbella with no recommendation and limited expectation - other than the images and write-ups sounded good! This place and the staff were way beyond our expectations! Alexandra, the owner, was the perfect host - the villa, the most exquisite decor and the vibe, chilled-out luxury. Although this place had airs and graces to shout about you were made to feel very welcome with a informality / formality balance that blew us away! The breakfast and service that came with it was exceptional - think afternoon tea, by the pool, for breakfast and you're there - afternoon tea platters of home cooked food was served in a very quirky/quaint way - nothing was too much trouble! The rooms were air conditioned, stylish and beautifully designed. There is nothing more I could say to recommend this venue - if you're happy to be with the person you travel with and you want the highest level of style, attention to detail and an informal elegance that money can't buy. Go and see for yourself - you will not be disappointed! Five stars ! Where else would you visit where the owner greets you and wakes up early to bid you farewell? …
What a beautiful laid back boutique hotel. We absolutely loved it. A great place to unwind. Alexandra was so welcoming and helped us to enjoy the locality with suggestions of where to visit and when. Breakfast was yummy and the staff are lovely.
Beautiful grounds amongst a serene and relaxing space. Alexandra was very welcoming and had made sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was one of the best we had with homemade, fresh dishes in a beautiful courtyard setting with a water fountain and pool just steps away from the tables. Would recommend staying here over a hotel any day. We will be back.
What to do…….this place deserve all that attention in the world - on the other hand, what makes it so perfect is in fact that it is a hidden pearl……. I spent only 3 days here - and would have loved to stay there a week. Great surroundings ( unless you want the terrible Porto Banus ) - great rooms and an excellent breakfast. Alexadra and the staff are so friendly and you feel like you have been invited into their homes. Everythng is very calm and relaxed. Maybe not very suitable for family holiday with small kids, though. My best recommendings !
We stayed at this little boutique hotel over a weekend. We were looking at just having a quiet and relaxing break, and found the perfect place. The Villa has been restored fabulously and every corner is transformed into a useful space. The place is an absolute gem and the host Alexandra is very welcoming. The staff are top class offering a great service.
The beds are super comfy, shower was walk in and amazing, the toiletries were good and all the necessary mod cons you might need were there. We even had a yummy breakfast in the room beautifully presented, it was on the whole a really lovely stay in a hidden gem.
We had the pleasure to stay at this place for 2 nights during the last week of March. We occupied 2 standard rooms which were basic but nicely decorated. We came by car and unfortunately we had a bit of trouble finding the place. When you follow the GPS it drops you at the bottom of the urbanization. You actually have to keep driving up the main road 2 roads further up to the right. A helpful local luckily knew where it was but it did take us close to 30 minutes finding it driving up an down the lower urbanization. We were warmly greeted by Alexandra who immediately offered us an entire little bottle of cava which was a very nice gesture. The place is nice, the owners clearly have good taste in decorating. Wonderful views to the coast and surrounding mountains. The hosts are very helpful. One evening a light inside our car was still on and Alexandra came knocking on our door to warn us which was very much appreciated. Regarding the rooms: As mentioned; very nicely decorated. Maybe an extra bench or chair lacking to put some things on. The tv was hard to work out how to use it. Neither me, nor my parents, nor another lady occupying another room knew how to make it work without help. There was also a problem with the water pressure in both our rooms. It's a problem that they should seriously look into. You don't expect this kind of problem in a luxury boutique hotel. The small mini-bar unfortunately proved to be a bit too noisy in the middle of the night. I also suggest they don't perfume the rooms so strongly. The smell is very, very strong and hard to get rid off. They haven't been open long so I guess these are all little problems that will soon get fixed and apart from these small annoyances it is a very nice place.. Regarding the breakfast: it was nice but basic. I understand that with 8 rooms you can't put an entire buffet. Fresh orange juice would have been nice though, not from a bottle. Quite a few different sorts of bread and lots of sweet stuff. No fruit at all. We did get offered an egg and some yoghurt if wanted. I didn't see cereals anywhere. It's a nice location to have breakfast though. You can even see the sea through the door of the courtyard! The very unfortunate thing about the breakfast was that it was served at 9.30 am. If we would have known this we would never have stayed here. No matter how nice it is. I should have checked beforehand but considering they present themselves as a hotel it didn't even cross my mind that breakfast wouldn't be served as from 8 am. We had an appointment quite a drive inland the second morning at 11 am and saw ourselves very tight on time. When we asked if we could have the breakfast a bit earlier we were told it was only possible to serve it 15 minutes earlier because the servant only arrives at 9 am. It's very unfortunate that a breakfast turns into a stressful situation like that. I wonder what people do who have to catch a morning flight or if you have a full day-trip/excursion scheduled? Considering the breakfast is served so late I suggest there are some coffee or tea facilities on the room because when you wake up at 7 or 8 am and you have to wait until 9.30 am to get a cup of coffee served it's a very long wait. I would only suggest this hotel to people who are on a romantic holiday and simply do nothing all day and just enjoy the pool or go to the beach. I wouldn't recommend this for business people or active travelers in regards to the late breakfast.…
