A planned four day trip to a friend’s place on the Costa had to be cancelled, so my wife and I decided to stick with our pre booked flights to take a look at Malaga’s old city and historic buildings. This hotel was perfect for such a city break. Bus links into the city and the airport were convenient and cheap. The hotel and its rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were superb and the one evening meal we were able to enjoy was excellent. Our only criticism was that in order to cater for a large party of school children who were staying at the hotel at the same time, the dining room was effectively closed in the evenings. Yes, bar snacks were available, but it was not what we would have preferred.
This is a great stopover place which is half way between the airport and town (not the prettiest area but one you can turn a blind eye to). With direct public transport links into town and 8 mins in the car/taxi (€18 in an Uber) to the airport (especially at 4am!), you can't complain about location. It has a (small) pool & gym and some eating establishments nearby but the food is good enough if you just want to chill out by the pool in the evening (or lunchtime) - go for The Malaga Burger, paella a bit too salty for our tastes). They are a little understaffed at the moment so I guess a little patience is required but if you want to do some gift shopping before going home, there is a mahoosive shopping centre (Carrefour) literally on the other side of the road (where you can also buy sushi and a decent bottle of wine for dinner but this must be eaten in the room - there's also a Burger King and Maccy D's!). The only NB. is that it's quite popular with groups (including Malaga Football Team, which was fun), so expect it to get a little busy at times (reception, dining room, pool) We would definitely stay again. Thank you!…
No Uber driver wanted to accept our ride late at night, so we had to pay E19 fir a very short taxi ride to this hotel. Very friendly check in and clean comfortable room. There was a room safefor my laptop, with good WiFi. Breakfast was pretty food with hot and cold options, with some great fresh bread, cheese and hams if that's your thing. Nice swimming pool area outside. Would definitely visit again for a night if we arrived earlier in the day.
Recently stayed here for 3 nights as a Diamond member. Everything was as expected, nothing fancy but OK. Room comfort was good (nice bed), window could be opened (fresh air is always very much appreciated and guarantees a good sleep). Noise level (room at the back) was much better as expected (hotel is on a busy road). Everything clean. All the staff members were really nice and friendly. Public spaces are a bit dated but ok. Breakfast was very basic but ok for a few nights. Breakfast room is also not very cosy. Drink vouchers were provided as a Diamond member, very much appreciated. The hotel suited our needs and we would return when we are in the area.
We spent a week at this hotel. Rooms are correct, BUT there was no heating (15°C outside daytime, 10°C at night). First complaint: sorry, there is no sun coming into your room, do you want to change? Second complaint, we asked for an extra blanket, it was much better afterwards. We know Andalusia is "cold" only 3 months per year, but no heating in rooms and common parts of the hotel is a shame! Breakfast was ok. Dinner: nice food, not a great choice, but there are a lot of restaurants in the city center. Convenient: 10 min walk to metro and city buses. Also to buses to airport, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. All in all, good value for money, but the room rate in summer must be much higher than the one we paid!
