This hotel is very well situated by Malaga old town, which is very stylish with lots to see - including the excellent Picasso museum.

We recently had a short city break in Malaga and the Itaca Malaga was the perfect choice of hotel. It is a small hotel right in the centre, a stone's throw from Constitution Square, yet very quiet and hidden away. The rooms were modern, clean...More

The excellent location and friendly staff could not make up for the lower standards and grubbiness in other areas.

Really good location if you want to be close to "everything". Staff helpful, standard of room average, clean but not new. The walls are paper thin, you could literally hear what the people in the next room was doing in the bathroom! Had a room...More

Almost new hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, although not central European standard, but good anyway.
Quiet location, two minutes walk from the old town main street. Restaurant nearby and grocery store with in 2-3 minutes. Check restaurant Andino.

The pool was closed in February when we visited, but I would doubt it - you may need to use your bathroom towels or bring your own. I agree with a previous suggestion that e-mailing the hotel would be your best course of action. There are lots of great shops nearby and you could buy one there if necessary.

Hi, me and my wife stayed in Itaca Malaga in the begining of January so the pool was not open. I think there is no bar by the pool. Anyway I didn't see one. You have to ask the reception about taking your own drinks. A very nice place for having delicious tapas (especially seafood) is a place called Bodegas Quitapena (Calle Marin Garcia 4). About 10 minutes walk from hotel. A must bar for sweet wines (Málaga wines) is bodega called Antigua Casa de Guardia (Alameda Principal 18). Est. 1840!!! Anyway the are many good bars and bodegas in the old town. Have a nice holiday. We loved the city and definitely go there again next winter.
