The hotel is located in the chic Soho area from which it takes its name. Soho is the trendy art district and situated at 10 mins walking distance from the Centro which is the old Town area.prices in hotels located in Centro are very high .we stayed in Soho during new year Eve and New Year Day and found a reasonable price for the busy tourist days in Malaga .
When we entered the hotel on 31 st eve the smell of new paint greeted us which was good as new year was approaching.
Hotel seemed to be new and very positive.
Staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly .Special mention for Gloria .They gave us the map with all the suggestions of where to go for eating and sightseeing .
We were given corner room on 4 th floor which was very good .There were two balconies and window could be opened to the street for fresh air.
Room was overall comfortable and bathroom was nice with good toileteries.
There are lot of bars and restaurants in and around the hotel. Also a short walk of 500 metres and you are in the city centre where all the main places to eat and drink are situated.
Overall we had a great New Year stay in this hotel.would love to stay again.
Some Downside:
There was no breakfast at the hotel.the sister hotel located about 200 metres from this hotel has breakfast available.space for luggage keeping was not properly planned inside the room.hotel was being painted and set up when we arrived. Size of room was a bit small. Layouts the of Room could have been better.

For my friend and I, the best thing about this hotel was Javier! He speaks multiple languages, has infinite patience, has traveled himself and as he grew up in Malaga he knows the City very well. His recommendations for restaurants and things to see were spot-on and his advice excellent. We had a Covid testing issue (bit of crisis really because it was late and during Easter celebrations and many of the business were closed) and he helped immensely - he knew exactly who to call and where the place was, and he even made calls for us because our tourist Spanish was too horrible to get the job done. He's also a very nice guy and fun to talk to. Actually all the staff were wonderful, from the front desk to the housekeepers, and eager to share advice regarding what to see in this beautiful city. The hotel is superbly located - very close walking distance to the old city, museums and the shore. It's modern, extremely clean and near a ton of restaurants and shopping (as is most of Malaga). The rooms are small but well appointed and the windows open fully and also have shutters. The location is a bit noisy (because it's central to so much), and as with most places, the upper floors got more natural light. The shampoo and bath gel actually good enough to use! I'm giving it 4 stars because it was relatively expensive and the rooms were quite small, but neither point detracted from our vacation.

If you arrive by car, you need to know the hotel does not have a parking. Luckily, there is one just around the corner: take the first left, and follow the signs. The parking entrance/parking spots are big enough to park you car scratch free. Prices are high though! The hotel is very nice, with extremely friendly staff. Our room was on the first floor, and had an unusual layout: you enter immediately in the bedroom area (you see the bed when you open the door). They have a Nespresso machine + Nespresso cups, but if you want tea, you have to go to the lobby and ask the extra device to boil the water. The bathroom was big enough, including good towels. Unfortunately, the room did not smell good (sewer?). Breakfast was OK, in an area that shows the wine bottles all around you.
Our room was on the backside, not a detail given the traffic that is in front of the hotel. Also worthwhile mentioning: the acoustic isolation is great: closing the window, stops all traffic noise (in our room on the back side!)

Just a one night stay but the hotel suited us perfectly. We were warmly greeted by a staff member at check in who spoke very good English and made us feel welcome. The hotel is very well located being in the middle of town close to the historic centre/.shops as well as the Port area. The room was large and red bed was a great size. Although our room faced out onto a busy street, the double glazing made art very sound proof. All facilities in the hotel were modern and stylish. We had a car - there are several car parking buildings close by including one (Parkigrund) where the nightly rate of 20 euros was discounted to 16 euros with the hotel stamping our carpark ticket. We enjoyed our time at Soho Colon Malaga and highly recommend it to others!

We had a very nice stay here. We like that its a rather small hotel, but still has 24hrs reception. The room made us feel calm (colours and decoration), and it was cleaned nicely every day including the bathroom. We also had a tub. Breakfast is rather simple, but nice and fresh and enough even when eating late breakfast.

A very nice hotel, recently established and everything inside the hotel appears as new, freshly decorated and good quality.

The staff were very helpful, particularly Gloria at the reception who made extremely welcome. The location is excellent to explore the town. Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy, on train using Linea C1, coming off at Centro Ciudad station, and from the station walking for 2 minutes to the hotel.

Mostky our experience was very positive. Nothing negative to point for this hotel, only couple observations as it is a new hotel and still some minor work is taking place. A light odour of paint in some areas due to some general maintenance and although the rooms were well set up, there is a need for some additional towel hooks in the bathrooms.

We will definitely go back and recommend this hotel ro others.

We booked the suite on the trip floor. Does not really look fancy but offers all the comfort you nood : coffee machine, blinds on the windows (it is really dark at night, so good for sleeping), it is quiet, the bed is good and you have a separate "living room". Breakfast is nice, but very confusing rules due to covid : first day you have to wear gloves to serve yourself (isn't this completely over the top??), next day this is not required anymore and despite the reservation system we had to wait on our third day as there was no place anymore (which is not really acceptable at this price level).

Location is excellent : both close to the city centre and to the harbor. Parking is obviously quite expensive in this neighbourhood.

We had a great stay in the Soho Boutique Colon Hotel in Malaga. Javier and the rest of the staff did an amazing job during our nights over there. The breakfast was good and the location is perfect.

We had our own rental car and you can park it for €16 a day or you can find a free parkingspace within a 15mins walking distance.

Stayed here in January 2023 for 4 nights. The hotel is located in an extremely convenient location, near the train station so that you can get the train straight from the airport. It is also near the sights of Malaga itself. The hotel is small but extremely well decorated. The beds are fabulous, with an assortment of pillows and lovely bedding. Although we were right in the city centre, there was very little traffic noise (unless we left the French doors open). Would absolutely stay here again. The only things that could improve our stay would be that a kettle should be provided in every room as standard, together with English tea and plenty of milk. There is a Nespresso machine but we prefer to drink tea. Luckily I had packed teabags and milk myself, but it would be nice not to have to do this. Also there is no mirror in the bedroom. This was slightly problematical because 1) I like to check my appearance in a full length mirror before leaving the room and 2) after showering, the mirror in the bathroom was completely fogged up meaning I couldn't really see to dry my hair and also my husband was in there having his shower, creating more steam. There didn't appear to be an effective fan in the bathroom. Aside from the kettle and mirror situation, everything in this hotel was excellent. l

We booked for 6 nights which we had to change at the last minute and the hotel were very helpful in facilitating that. The hotel is not too near the centre of the Soho area but within 800 yards so away from any late night noise but convenient for most attractions and the beach. Our room was big with a large bathroom. It was maintained throughout our stay and any request for extra tea coffe etc was sorted. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so can not comment. Would definitely stay there again. Lastly it was very reasonably priced.

You can walk to and from the station in 15 minutes, alternatively you can do the 5 minute walk to Malaga Ca station and that takes you to the airport via the main station so saving you a walk and it has a lift to platform. If in any doubt ask Paula at reception/front desk is very knowledgeable.
