Stayed with my husband for 4 nights in October and would recommend. For a 2 star hotel it offers excellent value, it is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Malaga but there are buses if needed and the walk is flat and along the beach. All areas are very clean, our room had a bath, bidet and... More

I stayed in hotel in July 2013. Room was perfect, everything you need. Towels, shower gels, aircondition, tv-satelite. Hotel has no restaurant (I knew it) but there is great selections of spanish cafeteries just 2 min walk. There is also spanish market next to it and bus to city centre 2 mins from hotel (5min ride) or 25 min beach... More

My sister and I stayed in Hotel Solymar for one night. It is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town, and although we didn't know Malaga at all before going, it was good to walk around the edge and find the less touristy places. Don't worry when you see the rather brown grey beach on your way into... More

The Solymar is a small Hotel one block from the beach. Relatively quiet and easy to reach from the airport. Good connection by public bus into the old centre. Rooms are nice, clean and simple. The Hotel staff is extremely friendly and parking in a secured carpark is available against a small fee. Would definitely use the Solymar again.

We stayed at the Solymar for one night in February en route from Morocco. We paid only 19 Euros for the twin room so weren't expecting great things, but were very pleasantly surprised-the room was simply furnished but immaculately clean, and the bathroom fixtures and fittings were of a good standard. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast (although there is a... More

I turned up without any reservation, purely "on spec". I needed a single room for two nights. I wanted to be in walking range of the centre of the city (the cathedral, for example, turned out to be about 20 minutes walk away) and to be reasonably close to the airport. I was in luck! For 32 Euro per night I... More

We stayed in this little hotel the night of 22nd May. it was comfortable and spotlessly clean with en suite bathroom. The air conditioning worked very effectively. The hotel is staffed all night so it felt very safe. There is a machine in the lobby which dispenses bottled water, some snacks, and hot drinks. The staff were pleasant, well informed and very helpful with...
