We really enjoyed our time at the Iberostar hotel. The food buffet was delicious each morning and evening with a plentiful supply of every food imaginable. The staff were incredibly helpful, Virginia the reception manager and Jose in particular. They took pains to sort out the issues we had and we thank them very much for their help. Rooms were very clean and the pool facilities excellent. The hotel is right onto the beach. Couldn't fault anything about our stay.

Me and my wife spent a week here on the last week of the season October 2019 all inclusive. Transport- contrary to other reviews the bus took us to the door and also on the return trip ( booked with TUI) Staff- everyone excellent Food - really good and plenty of choice for everyone. Entertainment - one night we had flamenco type dancers. The other nights the guests were the entertainment with Karaoke, busting balloons and bingo on separate nights so no professional entertainment. Room - although dated we had a queen size plus bed, big round bath, separate showers and kept spotless by wonderful cleaners. Facilities- there is really only one pool. Alongside there are two round small pools - a Jacuzzi type pool and a kids pool ( max 3 m and 2 m diameter) and cold. There is an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna but to visit costs 15 e each. There is a minimal Gym on the third floor slightly smaller than the rooms. Plenty of sun beds , self serve restaurant and a bar with snacks. The restaurant where the hotel borders the beach remained closed whilst I was there. Location - on the beach. In an area of villas with an Aldi 1/2 mile walk away. There is a bus stop which takes about 10-15 min walk away. Go all inclusive as there are no alternative places to eat without catching a bus. Speaking to other guests I believe to convert from full board to AI costs 40e per day. This hotel does one above AI ( where you can use the indoor pools and have other drinks available but again costs a lot for very little gain) Would we visit again - enjoyed our week but no due to location which can’t be resolved. There are many families who return regularly due to the kids clubs but I can’t comment on that. I also think a three star rating max.

Dear Bryan, Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your impressions of our four-star, beachfront establishment, First and foremost, we appreciate your generous comments towards our dedicated employees. They will be thrilled to hear of your compliments. Moreover, we are well-known internationally for our superb gastronomy services. Our exemplary chefs enjoy spoiling our guests with fresh international dishes and typical Málaga cuisine using high-quality, responsibly-sourced ingredients. Thus, we are pleased you were satisfied with this aspect. On the other hand, we have outdoor pools, well-maintained gardens, spa facilities, a games room, the Star Camp programme, entertainment and sporting activities. Additionally, the hotel is situated on Estepona ́s longest beach, is between Marbella and Estepona and 10 minutes from Puerto Banús. However, we are sorry we could not meet all of your expectations on this occasion. We trust you have taken home some lovely memories with you despite this and we hope to serve you again at Iberostar in the near future. Best regards, Quality Manager, Iberostar Costa del Sol

Lovely hotel and gd location 😁, although disappointed by the attitude of the staff especially when it came to end of all inclusive i.e. asking if we had money! not sure I would come here again given this experience which has somewhat ruined the experience! Also if a single female don’t expect to get served!! Not welcoming

We visited this hotel in September 2019. We had visited previously when the hotel was under the Playa Hotel brand and we are pleased to say that the hotel was as good as we remembered it. The staff are a real credit and asset to this hotel. From our welcome at Reception to our immaculately kept and beautiful bedroom, the great dining room and choice of food , we thought it was excellent. We were on half board, rather than many who were on all inclusive option. Truthfully with the wide choice at breakfast , particularly the freshly cooked omelettes and the wide choice at dinner we would have been hard pressed to fit in lunch! This was one of the best buffet style hotels we have stayed in , with great themed nights and a vast choice of main courses and show cooking with all fresh produce. The chefs were very friendly and were keen to tell us about their dishes. For an extra 3.50 euros per person per night you could have as much wine, beer or soft drinks as you liked. We did not see anyone abusing this in the dining room. Our only complaint would be that the dress code in the evening which stated long trousers for men should be observed and a bit more “ formal wear “ for women should be observed. I would say about 70 percent of people made an effort to change in the evening but 30 percent did not. There was a lot more animation going on from iberostar which you could join in if you wanted. A car we feel is essential if you want to explore the region. We always hire a car and there is ample free parking. The iberostar deal includes some spa entrance tickets and cocktails. The spa was very good and we enjoyed. So all in all a great break, thoroughly recommend and a big thank you to all the hotel staff.

We went for a week holiday with my mum. We were offered with this hotel by the tourist office in Poland. The choice seemed to be obvious due to participation to Iberostar brand. To our dissapointment the hotel was not as attractive as it should be due to the amount of stars. The staff was amazingly friendly and nice to us but the quality of the rooms and equipment on the pool area seems to remember better times. If not for the atmosphere and the staff I would be very disappointed. Seems it's the high time to renovate the building.
