I believe you can hire a car from the airport to the Marriott property, as well as the return, but the cost may well be close to the same as a car rental. It was easy to drive in the area, and having a car gave us much more flexibility for shopping, dining and travel. We did use the Marriott’s tour services for a trip to Ronda. We visited Gibraltar on our own and picked up a tour on site. Both were good options. We visited Córdoba on our own, with a tour and maps from the Marriott concierge, and that provided more flexibility than the long day trip from the property. One guest we spoke with used the local bus service and thought it was easy to use and economical. Lots to see in the area. Do some planning in advance and enjoy your time!
