This beautiful hotel is quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hotel itself is gorgeous - I would have been happy just sitting in the courtyard with a book. The clerk was very helpful - she even found umbrellas for us when it started raining. The location is perfect - across the stre

Beautiful building in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the centre. Wonderful port view from our balcony. Delicious breakfast, great variety, Gregorian chant in the background made it a memorable stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely old building / courtyard, large clean room and excellent location not far from the station in the old part of Cadiz. Lots of close by bars and restaurants. Lovely staff. Hopefully I will return to Cadiz and stay there again.

Has anyone got a good recommendation for restaurants within a short-ish walk from the hotel?
All the restaurants are of a good standard and we were not disappointed. All within a 10 minute walk of the hotel

What would be the best room location re. less noise and maybe a view?
Unfortunately the only view is of the side road or the station. This did not detract from the stay and there was absolutely no outside noise at all.

Hi. I was looking at the Google street map from the train station to Hotel Convento. The Google walking route was all around the huge parking lot, about 450m. I am, in fact, wondering whether one could take a short cut through the parking lot to access the hotel. Reading some of past guest posts, it seems possible. So,I hope someone can kindly advise on this!
You can walk through the car park but you still need to get to the pedestrian crossing at the end to cross the road. It is only about a 5 min walk from the hotel to the train station.

How far is it from the beach? Is it within walking distance? Are there bike rentals near by?
I didn't see any bike rentals in Cadiz. Nothing in Cadiz is far from the beach! The hotel is a short walk from the Beach. It's a very small city so everything a tourist would typically want to see is contained in a small walkable area - walkable by British standards at least.

Is there paid parking nearby? If so, how much is it?
There is also and underground car park on Avenida Ramón de Carranza (the road running alongside the harbour) with on-site guards. The cost for 24 hours there is approx 21 euros.

"101 to 106 should be quieter. Internet access is patchy."
"I wouldn't recommend the hotel after that experience."
"Top floors are best for a quiet night."
"Rooms on the road side are bright and sunny. Other rooms may be quieter overlook the surrounding narrow streets."
"The smaller rooms face the port - nice but slightly noisier. The superior ones face away - no sea view, but a bit quieter."
US$66 - US$177 (Based on Average Rates for a Standard Room)
