A new Parador for a new century. A new building representing a new, updated architecture, in which light, space and noble materials are key elements, with avant-garde lines in which the most diverse shapes and materials - wood, marble, steel, stone and glass - are combined to give this new icon of contemporary architecture its shape. Light invades all corners, and the ocean turns into the horizon, from which any spot of the new Parador can be seen. Modern and warm rooms, with impressive terraces flying over the city and the Ocean. The swimming pool and Spa area is located on the second floor. Here, guests can enjoy the best panoramic views onto the bay of Cádiz

The food, seaside location, pool, spa and gym make this an attractive Cádiz option. However I am afraid that price / quality is not upto Parador standards. The Bar is understaffed before 8 pm. Also the decking needs a paint-job and rooms are overpriced. Due to Covid measures breakfast is over organised which leads to long waiting and the breakfast buffet running out of items at the last shift. The location on the Boulevard makes for great sunset views but next door are some empty buildings that make it at little bit tacky for a Parador.

We were disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The rooms and the building are beautiful - and so they need to be for the price. The experience in general, though, was sub-standard. For example: (1) When using the bathrooms outside the 2nd floor restaurant there was no toilet paper - in either cubicle. It seemed that the facilities had not been checked for some time, which is surprising for a hotel of this level. The cubicles themselves (in the bathrooms on the second floor outside the restaurant/breakfast area) are the American style, with a frame separating the cubicles from each other, which gives poor privacy (really not pleasant to hear your neighbour on the toilet…. (2) the elevators are terrible. You press the button and wait. The button light goes out. You press it again and wait, it ‘pings’ which normally indicates that the elevator has arrived, so you walk to that elevator but the display shows it is on another floor. The button light goes out, you press it and wait. After breakfast I walked from the 2nd floor to the 7th floor on the stairs because I was sure it would be quicker. (3) the heavy glass sliding doors in the bedroom look beautiful but if you use the handle to slide one door back your fingers get caught between the handle of one sliding door and the back of the 2nd sliding door. This happened to my wife and was very painful. Unfortunately it is just poor design. (4) The breakfast buffet was pretty ordinary for a hotel of this standard and price. Any one of these in isolation would not be so bad I guess but all in all it was a surprise to find all of these things in a highly rated hotel.

Stayed for two nights early July we have stayed in many paradores before , our room 604 had mangled electric sun blind that had been patched with grey duck tape , I had to fight with blind to use it ! Our toilet kept noisily running until a revisit to the toilet to fix it . The cleaning regimes were sub standard especially in it public toilets all in all highly disappointed and never at checkout did we get asked did we enjoy our stay! We are done with paradores !

Generally friendly staff, large and modern rooms with a large balcony, large breakfast room with a very good breakfast, several heated outdoor pools with lots of comfortable loungers. It was a bit of a shame that the pool area was only open until 7 o'clock in the evening. For us this is the best hotel in Cadiz; we would visit it again.

We have stayed at the Parador de Cadiz three or four times, each time in March. We had a reservation for March 2020 which was thwarted by the onset that year of COVID19. Since then we have rebooked countless times, only to find travel restrictions prevented our trip on each occasion. Thankfully we made it this May and, despite the special arrangements necessary to ensure our safety from the virus, we enjoyed our stay justas much as in the past. We were very pleased to find that the high level of precautions taken by the Parador to minimise any risk of contracting the disease, this did not impinge in any way on our enjoyment or relaxation during our stay. All items we were likely to come in contact with were disinfected and labelled as such and instructions such as only members of one family in a lift, etc. were adhered to, making us feel far more comfortable than we had expected. All staff members we came in contact with were friendly and considerate, even though, as we acknowledge, they were exposed to greater risk than us all told. In all, a most enjoyable stay in this beautiful modern Parador located in an equally beautiful town. Can't wait until next time!
