The negative side: - an obnoxious, completely unfriendly blonde (acting like a primadonna) at the Reception - soft mattress (I could sink through it) The Positive side: - good location (especially for people who like to walk, namely 15 minutes away from Old Town) - VERY good breakfast (minus the coffee) - super clean and quiet I should add, I...

The only reason Kaiserin Augusta is a three star, and not a four, is that the rooms are refurbished to a fairly basic standard, and don't have mini-bars, coffee making facilities, both a bath and a shower etc. The public areas of this historic hotel, however, are refurbished to a high standard, and the hotel has a bar and restaurant...

My first experience in this part of the country, breakfast was great, rooms a little small, location just across the train station was awesome. Normally I would have given such a property 5 points, but I have to deduct two because of the staff unfriendliness. My feeling was that if they were to say a kind word word, they tongues...

I only stayed here two nights. It is priced well and makes good use of space. It is about 1/2 mile from the center of town. It is what you pay for and I would stay here again. I stayed here with my Girlfriend and she had no complaints either. There is a Restaurant on the ground floor. As well...

In terms of value for money this is a very good hotel. It is comfortable, clean and less expensive than many and it has a good restaurant too. It is quite a distance from the Altstadt and right next to the station. For some this will be a benefit but if you want to wander around the town you really...

The hotel is nice and clean, the rooms are airy. The walk to the centre of the town is about 10min and easy to find. I also enjoyed the breakfast in the winter garden with lots of proper German bread types. But you can get plenty of other things too, like scrambled eggs,... Etc The same staff is friendly too...

Kaiserin Augusta is located merely steps away from the Hauptbahnhof, but worlds away at the same time. Housed in an historic building, it's a beautiful property that is perfectly maintained. Welcomed immediately by the very friendly front desk staff, I was given a double room on the 3rd floor conveniently near the elevator. The room featured two single beds, excellent-quality...

Perfect location for the traveller by train, right outside the train station but not to suffer the noise from the station. Walking into the hotel foyer you get the impression that it will be a nice stay and it doesn't deceive in that regard. We had a room at the top of the hotel in the eaves (fourth floor in...

Typical german room for a single person. So you get a single bed and not a queen. The room is quite small but modern enough with engraved with the old architecure to make it quite charming. Great german quality breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights in early November. The hotel's location across from the Weimar train station makes it a good base for visiting both Weimar and Erfurt. We spent one day seeing Weimar and one day in Erfurt. If you are interested in German history and culture, both cities have much to offer. The train from Weimar to...
