It’s a great hotel in a quiet part of town but an easy stroll in. Friendly staff who know their jobs. Reception is in the bar as you walk in. WiFi is very hit and miss and needs improvement, I gave up on it completely. Breakfast is good. Pillows are a bit odd.

What used to be a lovely hotel has unfortunately slipped in its standards. Bar shuts early, kitchen no longer serves lunch. Wifi is incredibly Slow and too many new staff that don’t know what they are doing.

Alternative hotel style, bar is great at evening. Unfortunately some mishaps: terrible WiFi , even on high speed. Pillows on beds are terrible, it’s the concept of the hotel. Very Spartan! No coffee in the rooms. No safe. Breakfast is very crowded the whole morning, looks more like the university canteen. Televisions in the rooms are very old and used, the image is terrible. Expensive hotel for what it is.

We stayed here for one night as a mini “Staycation” and were overall happy with everything. The only downside was a slight mix up with the sauna booking in the evening, which wasn’t made as promised, but we got a slot to use the pool and jacuzzi instead, and used the sauna the following day. There was also a mix up with the bed booking, but that was easily rectified. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and clean and well looked after. The food is to die for. The portions are enormous and well worth the price. The staff are all friendly, competent and willing to help.

A great modern hotel with a good young vibe, room are very clean and tidy and beds very comfortable but poor storage for clothes, bathroom excellent, very small pool and gym has a couple of running machines, cross trainers and a few basic lifting machines. Hotel revolves around a 24/7 bar and check in is here as well. Great if your with friends or of the younger generation

Arriving at this hotel was like a breath of fresh air. The hotel was modern and really well designed and the welcome by the team was professional but also extremely friendly and helpful. The modern design of the communal areas is great and the good design leads all the way through the corridors but unfortunately ends when you arrive at the rooms. Very basic furniture, cheap carpets and bathroom too small. Don’t get me started on the lacklustre bedding and pillows the size of postage stamps. Not exactly luxury but I’m sure it is fine for a business stay. Well it would be if the internet was fast enough or had a strong enough signal to even stay connected. The spa area is ok but could be kept tidier and the jacuzzi was too cold. The real negative though came when we checked out. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted to pay the room tax at that time or on checking out. We elected to pay there and then and paid in cash. (Our roomrate was prepaid on Expedia.) the tax was 6 euros. On checkout we were again asked to pay the room tax. I explained we had already paid and we were then quizzed about it as though we were lying. Big fail and a big shame as the service had been great up to that point.

Room is spacy, but very impractical: No bedside table large enough for a book and my glasses. No room in the bathroom to unpack cosmetics. Not even a tooth mug! No minibar and no overview booklet for hotel facilities or any further information for guests. Windows can't be opened, no proper ventilation in the bathroom. Instead of a minibar, there are vending machines on each floor, reasonably priced. However, the one on my floor was broken and ate 2Eur for a drink it didn't dispense. Room hygiene was poor, carpet full of lint. Breakfast was very good, however, selection was limited and queues were very very long. Facilities such as exits and elevators are barely labelled on the floors, easy to get lost. All in all, too much empphasis on design, at the expense of basic functionality. If you are disabled, beware: The property uses a card-access system that is also necessary to operate the elevators. The buttons won't work without touching the card to a reader beside the row of keys. There is a disabled-friendly, embossed large secondary row of keys that also won't work without touching your card to that reader on the other side of the elevators.

I travelled to Leipzig for a business trip - a quick 24 hour trip. Unfortunately, the day of my trip I had a gym related accident and badly hurt my foot. By the time I arrived at the hotel I was skipping on my healthy leg, completely unable to put down my hurt foot. The staff at reception (if I’m not mistaken, a girl named Petra?) immediately picked up on this and kindly asked me if I needed help. From then on, they were incredibly helpful and made me feel look after at every turn. They immediately booked me a taxi to take me to the hospital, took my luggage off me at reception (by the time I returned from seeing the doctor, they had delivered it to my room) and agreed to keep the buffet food out a bit longer for me, given my late return from the hospital. They even left me a note wishing me a speedy recovery and two chocolates in my room! This kind of service and attention makes the world of difference to me and therefore I would highly recommend Pentahotel - Leipzig. Personally, I prefer more classic looking hotels - but Pentahotel has a cool, trendy vibe and when combined with its incredibly helpful staff, is a fantastic stay. I’m so happy and grateful we got to stay there during our time in Leipzig! You will be in good hands, if you stay here.
