We had not realised that the Ibis Hotel in Dresden was made up of 2 large buildings Ibis Bastei and Ibis Konigstein .Check in and reception is based in the Bastei with Konigstein approx 100 yards further down the Plaza. Entrance and exit is by room key card. This was not a problem however the only facility in Konigstein is...

It's a very basic hotel with a prime location on the Prager str walking street. The comfort rooms are quite cozy and come with a bath tub and a sofa. However, even the comfort room does not have a kettle or a minibar / fridge. So not a chance for a hot cup of coffee or a cold beer in...

As a regular user of Ibis Hotels I was surprised at the lack of atmosphere and facilities here-but maybe the aim is to replicate the GDR days. We arrived at the hotel with luggage to find a notice saying to register at the Ibis Bastei Hotel which we had passed 60 metres previously. No information on the Ibis website on...

Located in the very center of Dresden beside a pedestrian street with shops and with large car park just behind. Close to the main sights and the train station. Surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Breakfast area might be crowded when a tour coach stays overnight.

Generally the hotel is OK, but it's not like any IBIS I stayed at previously. First off, they do many little things that annoy the customer. When I arrived at 11 am, they said my room was ready but check in before 2 pm is 20 EUR. WTF? I politely declined and asked to just store my luggage. They charge...

While the rooms may be a little bit tiny, the l9cation more than makes up for it. It's an easy walk to the train station and all the shopping you need. It is also in the heart of the central market and historical area and close to the river.

We chose ibis based on its location and it is certainly a win. We got there on a rainy night and GPS sent us to the street in front of the hotel, although it's reachable from the street right behind the hotel, where you can park your car (though it's public parking). Rooms are tiny and we didn't even like...

Needing TLC . No security lifts, Dirty Dangling curtains due to missing hooks. Clearly audible crane working near the station despite double glazing. Decoration for Christmas could have taken a leaf out of Praha Prague's book, which was exceptional . Reception are to be commended for their efforts
