Very nicely located in Chemnitz . Only stayed 1 night but wished I could have stayed longer. The rooms was lovely, with very nice bedding and nicely laid out. Bathrooms very clean with a towel warmer which was a nice touch. Hotel has an excellent restaurant which is worth a visit. Staff were very helpful and made sure we had a good stay. Area around the hotel was very nice and a great place to talk a wander.
This is a really nice place to stay in the countryside around Chemnitz. It's a 4 hour drive from Frankfurt so a great stopover if you are driving to Berlin. You need GPS to find it though. Rooms are older but perfectly appointed with modern bathroom facilities. Our room had a nice view out to the woods behind the hotel. Lots of nice trails to walk in the countryside. It is super quiet here so we slept very well. Breakfast here was just delicious. We loved every part of our stay here and wish we had planned an extra night as it is so relaxing here. A really nice find! Highly recommended by Oldbackpack.
It looks like an old abbey and the square within gives you a nice view on the sloth ‘castle’. Rooms are tidy and the renovated bathrooms are adapted to the comfort you need. Parking facilities located close to the entrance are scarce. The breakfast buffet contains everything you’ll need. The restaurant in the cellars is worth the visit not only for the architecture ( you can see that one with breakfast as well) but for the tasty food as well. Always enjoyable when I stay there!
Definitely I will come back to this hotel. Amazing place for rest 1 or 2 days. Extremely beautiful and calm. Nice rooms with very good renovated shower facilities. Very good small restaurant with very good wine. Well, highly recommended!
This hotel was so exquisite in every detail in the rooms - the carpet was even beautiful! The lampshades were all perfect and had a crown embroidered on them, the views from the windows were splendid, and every aspect was gorgeous. The two negative points for us were: it was hot and there was no air conditioning or second window even, to start a breeze flowing through the room, and they had a booked a music festival on the whole property around the hotel without giving us notice, which did detract greatly from our experience. However, this is another one of the gorgeous castle hotels in the east which rival anything in the west, but which are at a so much more reasonable price. Recommend it highly.
Schlosshotel Klaffenbach is located a 15 minutes drive south of Chemnitz and is next to a golf course. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff is very friendly and forthcoming. As it is a little away from town, note that you can eat both in the hotel restaurant as well as in the pub style restaurant across the courtyard. Go take a walk around the grounds and explore part of the saxonian Jakobs Weg which passes the hotel.
A little difficult to find as GPS sent us to the other end of the street. Due to an event a the golf course the hotel parking was full. Big renaissance resort with 4 restaurants, a golf course and a castle surrounded by water in the middle. The hotel building is a recent building, but in the style of the historic place. Kind staff at reception. The rooms was comfortable, clean and quite. No coffee machine, bottled water at an extra charge. We enjoyed the main restaurant, with its big arches. Our light dinner was nice, and the breakfast copious.
Great historic building which could be shifted to a higher level. Staying in an old standard room isn‘t anything special. Breakfast and the quality of food in the arch cellar is good. Staff is anxious but kind of little clumsy. Missing a shower (just a bathtub) and a wellness area. Surprising is the ratio of international guests from all over the world.
I am in love with this boutique style middle age(maybe?) property! It has it's good value with the price and the overall quality. My stay was single room on 3rd floor. The size of the room is more the sufficient for a women like me to move around inside. The bathroom is big too! The bed looks small but I have no problem with it. The breakfast was included in our rate. It provides variety selections of bread/ham/cheese/tea/jam . On the other hand, the serving for hot dish is relatively limited to scramble eggs, bacon and poached egg only.....Would be more delighted to have some German sausage & hash-browns! The location looks quite convenient for travelers who don't have a car. There is a train station nearby. (we got a car so am not quite sure) In general, this is a unique and appealing experience to me. Definitely recommend!!…
I spent 2 nights in this amazing hotel. The location is wonderful, it is inside a castle. Very romantic, maybe not the best choice if you spend your time with a colleague anyway it was a very good experience. The resturant of the hotel is also very good. Just a couple of remarks (because the optimum is around the corner): 1- The pillows were too soft for me 2- I would increase the breakfast buffet These are my personal opions, most of the people will love both the pillows and the breakfast.
