This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are in the area as all the bars and restaurants are just around the corner and parking is easy. The hotel beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean. As an added bonus we were greeted very nicely by a lovely Italian girl at reception who was extremely helpful with suggestions as to where to eat. We really enjoyed our stay there.
This discount hotel chain is becoming a habit. Simply put, every one I’ve been in is: very clean, very well decorated, very helpful staff (who happen to speak English, well), very comfortable, well located within the city and super economical. If you are traveling solo or a couple who aren’t seeking a ton of amenities (that aren’t often used anyway), and don’t want to spend a lot of money, so far Motel One is the place to stay.
I'm staying here quite regularly and love it. Staff friendly, excellent location, right in the city centre. The offer a continental, organic breakfast which offers all you need. My first choice when staying in Saarbrucken.
I stayed in this motel in the fall, and was happy with its very central location. Close to the Stadtzentrum of Saarbrucken, and a number of great little restaurants. Check in was easy, and the staff were very pleasant. One lady’s English was minimal, and our german hadn’t been used regularly in a long time! But another staff member spoke perfect English and helped us. Both very professional. The hotel lobby is nice and spacious and modern. The initial room we were given was incorrect and only had one bed, but we were immediately provided an additional room when we pointed out the problem. We lucked out and got the last parking spot in the covered parkade downstairs. It’s small and a tight squeeze, but convenient. Worth the price, but you could always park across the street at Staatstheater, which is about 100m away or so, but not covered or secured. Breakfast was worth the fee, and was very nice. Typical german breakfast. Soft boiled eggs (with little beanie hats haha), breads, jams, sausages, juice, fruit and coffee. The room was small, but typical for European hotels. They were clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, although the shower was a bit small. Great view on the little plaza road behind the hotel, and some great old buildings. All in all a good experience. I would return. …
I was here for19 days, so my opinion is based on long stay period. Good hotel, very nice, clean, good service and located in a very nice place... but with some things I don't like. 1.-No free(or cheap) parking for customer; I think 15€/day is an abuse. There are no free parkings duringday around the area.. Only from 20to8. 2.-No restaurant service for lunch or dinner. For a short period is not a problem, the area is very nice and full of good restaurants but for long stay.. I would prefer sometimes not going out and having dinner at the hotel.
