This is an efficient business-type hotel. It is centrally located, but, because the hotel is within its own courtyard, surprisingly quiet. Our room was good, with an excellent shower. However the wi-fi only worked in the public areas, not in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was good, offering a wide choice. Secure bicycle storage is offered in a locked room.

City Hotel is great, it is close to the train station, close to the Cathedral and in the town centre. It is an amazingly quiet hotel because it is based within a courtyard (good parking) off the main drag. Nice rooms, good breakfast and a nice little bar. All staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I stayed a week here in March 2016 and were satisfied with everything. The well furnished double room and the bath room were of good size. We happened to see two single rooms. They were small. The excellent breakfast could not have been more complete with hot scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh fruit sallad and yoghurt in... More

3 Stars, small rooms. For 2 Nights in Mainz i've booked a single room, which was quite small (smaller as expected actually) but after all, the hotel is central located, only 400m from Main Station and 600-700m from the Rhine. Great breakfast, friendly staff. If you arive by car, there are a few parking spots in front of the hotel.... More

Typical hotel for one night stay. Extremely small living room - near 5 square meters. Extremely small bathroom - max 1 square meter - to take shower you need to move in profile. . Every move in the corridor is heard in room. Absolutely not cost effective!

Small rooms ,friendly staff and better than average breakfast. It is well located and clean but a compact room.We arrived early and were not able to get in the room until 1pm which was annoying as we had flowen all night.

This hotel has some real positives but some drawbacks. The location is convenient to a number of places (including the old town and the bahnhof once you figure out the streets) but you must look sharp to find the path leading to the parking lot which leads to the front door. The staff were very friendly, much more than average... More

Room was tiny but OK for a single room. Bath was also tiny but clean. Entrance to shower was a bit difficult as you had to squeeze past the washing bassin, which was OK when going in but a bit difficult when wet, almost slipped. Quite a central location, no Windows face the streets. But don't let that fool you,... More

Clean, friendly staff, convenient location for shops, centre and a short walk from the congress centre. Internet for additional fee and quite slow. Good breakfast. Good parking behind the hotel reached via small driveway between shops.

We picked the City Hotel Neubrunnenhof because of it's location. It is in the city center, and just a few steps off of the Fussgängerzone (Pedestrian Zone) in a good section of Mainz. There is ample public parking nearby, and the hotel also has paid parking in front of and behind their building at a reasonable price. We had a... More
