We were in Mainz visiting my son and decided to stay here as the hotel is close to the town centre. Good decision. The rooms are small but clean, tidy and comfortable. The service and staff are really good and the breakfasts are great. Such variety sets you up well for a day at the Christmas markets with all that...

Great location within walking distance of city. Unfortunately, only one coffee machine for the whole breakfast room and 20 people queuing for coffee on Saturday morning - so we were unable to get a coffee!!!!!

On our way to Strasbourg we searched for a place to stay and the Ibis had availability. Check in was hassle-free and we were in our room in no time. Rooms/rating are US equivalent to a Comfort Inn. Breakfast buffet was generous and comprehensive. Parking in the hotel garage (secure) was an extra 10 euro. Over-all a positive experience in...

This hotel is well positioned to explore the old city. It is clean and has everything you need for a short stay. The food is good and the breakfasts are awesome with a make your own waffle station. The rooms are small but well designed and very comfortable.

This hotel has the same cookie-cutter rooms as all the other Ibis hotels. Very basic furnishings and decent comfort at a reasonable price. The biggest plus for this hotel is its location. A short walk to the dom and the river. There is also a large Rewe super market across the street. The negatives for me were the slow wi-fi...

I spent 3 days there but will return later too. The downtown is close (10 mins walk) and there are some restaurants close by. The hotel is average but brings the standard IBIS level. The S-Bahn station Römisches Theater is 2 Minutes walk that brings to Frankfurt International Airport in 30 Minutes. The Rhine river is 100 meters away.

Nice staff, okay but unreliable free wifi (option to upgrade), very clean rooms, small rooms without room for a suitcase or bag. Breakfast cost 11 euro per person per day, no discounts for more than one person.

The rooms were clean and had everything we need but the staff were cold and not interested in welcoming their guests. There was one gentleman that helped us on the first night that was good but the rest were just doing their jobs. It was a decent location close to downtown but other than that it did not stand out...

The Ibis Mainz city hotel was a comfortable stay. Room is basic and lacks having tea and coffee making facilities. On the plus side the bed was good and firm. We timed breakfast very badly to coincide with one or possibly two coach loads. It was not a pleasant experience with old dears pushing and stretching past to grab food...
