Went here with my partner, special birthday present and we were not disappointed. The main building was full so we got accommodation in an extended part of the main building. Great room, beds comfortable, even though the same problem throughout Germany, soft pillows with no neck support. This is common in Germany and I've mentioned this before in my reviews...

We decided to go for a drive in our area and by chance discovered this excellent Schloss Wilkinghege. I was so pleased with what I saw that we decided to stay overnight. We had a large suite next to the main water castle. The room and bathroom was large and light. View from the windows onto the moat with many...

I and my wife spent the night there on our way to France. We decided for Münster only a couple of hours before we came by and found the Schloss on Tripadvisor. Well worth the money and a staff with fingerspitzgefühl took good care of us. A free suite upgrade, great surroundings, a cozy breakfast in the cellar and a...

Great hotel stay at a lovely castle. Near Munster with quick access to the highway. Included breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The surrounding golf club is great to take walks. Everything was great.

Used this hotel as part of a recent trip around Germany. Pretty straight forward to find using their signs from main riad as sat nav thought we'd passed it. Setting was awesome and the building and grounds are like stepping back in time. We had a suite which was amazing with large rooms, multiple sofas and a massive bathroom. Food...

Anyone who's a fan of the Pink Panther movies would appreciate a schloss with a moat! Here's a perfect example of a grand schloss with a fabulous moat that attracts a host of bird species. Ducks galore, gaggles of geese, egrets, herons, rabbits all inhabit the magnificent gardens and the noise stemming from these creatures may keep you awake. The grounds...

Stunning location , bit hard to find by car on a mysterious road off the main highway , great running circuit , noisy highway traffic at night , no lift to 2nd floor, overall still a very worthy visit in a divine castle setting , didn't try the Resturuant but locals told me it had an excellent reputation

Easy to find location on the edge of Munster, the Schloss Wilkinghege is close to the autobahn, so for the motoring traveller, the location could hardly be better. Rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast is served in the stunning former wine cellar. Staff are caring and friendly, and the centre of town is 5 minutes by car/ taxi. Very munch...

Indeed an old amazing castle with great rooms grounds and views. Staff really friendly, warm atmosphere.... Please note that it is located off center (maybe an advantage yet every taxi to MCC hall of congress would cost 16-18€) Also as building is old make sure you travel light- no elevator for higher floors... Great place for a quiet scenic vacation-...

When we arrived around 22:00, the doorman saw us coming with our hands full of luggage and went back into the hotel instead of helping us. When we got into the hotel, we had to walk upstairs (with no lift) to the reception and no help was offered. Our room (a suite) was spacious with stylish decorations. The breakfast (in...

“All rooms are well-decorated and nice enough. As it is not allowed to install an elevator in the historical building, rooms on the second floor may imply an impressive flight of stairs, if that is problematic, a room on the first floor or in the renovated stables may be preferred. But the view on the castle moat and grounds is nicer from the top floor.”
