I am in Dusseldorf for a fair and usually stay at the IBIS at the central station. As it was booked I stayed here. Great small hotel with super friendly staff. Easy check in, spacious room with all amenities. I LOVE the fact that you...More
I liked the accessibility from Center railway station and access to nearby eating joints and supermarket. Reception was helpful for Local tips for travel to airport and other destinations. They serve breakfast only.
We stayed here for a stag do, didn't really have any complaints. Rooms quite basic, price was great, perfect for a stag do or cheap stay but not particularly luxury. Located near the train station but a bit of a walk to old town.
The establishment is well structured. Nonetheless, there are some essentials missing... for instance we had to open the windows for the air to circulate, since there were no AC. Also, the reception was not so "welcoming".
Arrived at the hotel in the pouring rain about 10:00. It really seemed like such an effort for the receptionist to open the door to store our bags. There was also the issue in her not quite understanding us (not being able to speak German)....More

Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station) is about a 5 minute or less walk from the hotel. There are two airport stations, one under the terminal for the regional S-Bahn trains, and one connected via the "SkyTrain" monorail for the long distance trains. The easiest thing to do is to take the S11 train from the Düsseldorf airport S-Bahn station (look for the green S symbol) to the Hauptbahnhof. The ride is approx 12 minutes. Exit the railway station where there's a tram stop and follow the tracks left 2-3 blocks. The cost is only a few euros, I think less than 3 for adults.
