Rooms are simple but functional and comfortable. Bathrooms are a little strange in layout but good enough and very clean albeit small ... enjoyed staying here Winter and Summer. Fantastic meals at dinner in a small intimate restaurant with great food and wine. Delicious breakfasts as good as any 5 star hotel. Love waking alone the Rhine river when warm...

I was here with a group who has known the owner for a long time so I think I had a better experience than most. The pluses of this hotel: lovely quiet historic and renovated location in a little village about ~25 minutes outside the city center (easy access to tram); good beds, good shower, nice large bathroom, very clean....

The hotel is conveniently located to public transport and the tiny town of Sürth. It looks like the pictures online and has the charm of an old farm, at least from the outside. It would be lovely to have seen it during summer. We booked two twin rooms for two nights and after arriving early we were able to leave...

Hotel is very historical. Rooms are clean. Towels are always change if you mention. Breakfast is also good. Train and bus stop is 5 minutes by walk. Dom cathedral is maximum 25-30 minutes by train. Hotel price is cheap. Near hotel there are some place to eat.

I really enjoyed staying here, the atmosphere was very Authentic and quaint, really felt like real German culture, the room was small with a single bed but the price was very fair, I would stay here again

The hotel is located in a former house with more than 250 years of history. Good size of rooms, nice courtyard, beautiful breakfast lounge, great breakfast. The restaurant seems to be good, but the service was slow and we had a bad experience with our food because what we asked for they run out of it. Anyway, recommended for all...

I've stayed for just 1 night and the hotel is situated in the small town of Surth near to Cologne. The setting of the hotel is very pretty with a big open courtyard; the staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable and bathrooms are huge. There is a small railway station about five minutes walk from...

If you are not looking for the comfort of a standard well equipped, anonymous and sterile chain-hotel, but would enjoy some character, try the Falderhof. I go there for business, and do not need to be in the city: this small hotel is in a historic building, tastefully renovated with elegant simplicity. There is no a/c (rooms can be warm...

Stayed here for two days on a business trip. The place has a farmhouse atmosphere, even though it is in the center of an urban area. Walking distance to the factory I visited, Atlas Copco. Room was on the smaller side, but very quiet and comfortable. Included breakfast was fantastic
