I found this hotel at the last minute for a one-night stay in Cologne. My stay was perfectly fine. I was told by a local that the area is not the nicest/safest but I found it fine - just a short walk to the train and then into the city center. The room was fine but there was a party...

I had the most difficult three nights in my life. The walls are paper thin, so I could hear my neighbour snoaring. Feather pillow looked puffy, but once I laid my head on it, it went flat as pancake. The mattress... a nightmare. Yes, even, but hard as plywood. When I checked in, the receptionist didn't speak english at all....

The hotel was clean, the room large and the facilities perfectly acceptable. I had a single room for 4 nights which was comfortable and adequately equipped including hairdryer. The buffet breakfast was continental in style and plentiful. Good choice of items and flavourful. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was about a half hour walk from the Lanxess...
