Staff: do not let people from outside, who ate not guests, decide to open the windows when it's freezing outside. They do not control your business! And don't argue with guests if they say something about it. Room: too expensive for the quality. Management: they don't answer their mail.

the hostel is situated in a very cool neighborhood, surrounded by bars, shops and places to eat out, a walk to the city center with its cathedral, museums and other interesting spots took us 20min (but its also possible to take the subway which has a stop literally in front of the house). the staff was very helpful and we...

Great clean rooms with comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend/stay here again. Location is not central (but they don't advertise it as such). Long walk, 30-40 mins to the main area of town. The walk is nice, there's also a metro station right in front of the hostel. Doesn't include breakfast but available for €5-6 at the hostel or for cheaper...

Stayed here for 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm room with ensuite. The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean, the staff are nice. Great location once you're there but a bit awkward to get to with my giant backpack as I had to walk from the train then get a tram but no big deal. Common room and...

Great hostel nice people and great beds. Cheap prices only 1 € for a coffee. Clean and cozy rooms with a shower. Surely recommendable for short and mid stays. WiFi is available in the bar but in the room it was not avalable at that time.

I had a really nice stay at this hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful downstairs and always adds a nice touch. The room I stayed in - 6 bed mixed dorm - was comfortable and spacious and clean. Each bed had access to a power point and personal light (albeit a very bright light). The only con I...

Really enjoyed my stay at Weltempfanger, the Cafe is a huge plus. Pros: - Cafe under the hostel is a great place to hangout (hostel guests get a discount), really relaxed atmosphere with good music. They even had a local artist play a set one night. - Rooms are clean and comfortable with lights and tables on the wall beside...

We had a nice stay! It was a bit from central cologne but easy to reach with metro. Friendly staff and environment! The room was clean, we had the double room for one night. The only minus was that is was insanely HOT during the month of July and no AC or fan. Wifi was a bit slow but functional!...

The hostel has a nice and friendly staff with a cosy bar and standard but decent breakfast. At the first floor their is a small kitchen, good enough to cook a basic meal and hang out to relax / having a chat with others.. Their are a few supermarkets, bars and food shops nearby so perfect actually! The hostel is...

In general it's ok. Placed right in front of the Subway station. But not in a walking distance from Hauptbahnhof. There are a lot of bars ans 2 Supermarkets there. You can use kitchen to make food. Breakfast in nit included but you can buy it fir extra 4,5 Euro - it is ok, a usual hostels-breakfast. Rooms are a...

“The room number 1 (6 beds) is very noisy (loads of sounds coming from the Venloer Straße. But it's quite nice and spacy. It has one bed which is bigger than the other ones. The room shares a toilet and two showers with one other room. The room number 6 (4 beds) is tiny and quiet.”
