Perfect location close to the center. Convenient and inexpensive underground parking. The king-size bed was very comfortable. After reading the previous comments we asked for a park-side room - it was quiet but you could hear some traffic through the open window.

Stayed for a week on a business trip in August. The hotel is very central, walking distance to shops, restaurants, the harbour and public transport. I arrived by train and tried to take a taxi to the hotel, but drivers refused as the trip was too short for them. After a very long journey I didn't want to find a tram, so I walked (15 minutes). On the way back I used the tram, which is a 5 minute walk and about 10 minute journey. The room was very comfortable and clean, selection of pillows and a bottle of water upon arrival. There was no safe or fridge. Breakfast was excellent, wide variety of non-dairy milks and a very nice selection of vegetarian spreads. There is a bar, but no restaurant. But there are plenty of opportunities to go for dinner within walking distance. I would definitely use Motel One again.

When we arrived the bookingsystem was down, so we sat in the lobby to wait - for about half an hour. Nobodyb offered a cup of coffee or a beer from the café close to, so we stored our luggage and went downtown - which is just 10 min walk from the motel. Later when we arrived they gave us the choice - 4th floor with view over the city or inner yard 1st floor. We decided for the view - don't do that- because the street is very noisy and people passing by all through the night. The room is very basic - small - with a very good bed- but no coffee/tea facilities, which I think are basic in a hotelroom. We were asked to pick a time for breakfast - but next morning it seems that all the hotel guest were there at the same time and nobody checked our room number. We were lucky to find a small table and some uncomfortable chairs. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices - no surprises , but good quality. The parking is 14 euros in the garage.

Stayed at short notice for business need. That hotel has everything you need for a short stay - a bar in the evening and a healthy breakfast in the morning. Rooms are small, but very clean and perfectly functional. Staff friendly and helpfull. The only thing to be aware of: they have limited parking on-site so you might need to park a few meters down the road at the public parking.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks on business,so here goes for the pro’s and con’s. Pros: Good Air conditioning, Comfortable clean bed (made up every day), Clean shower room, Double glazing, Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Cons: Very tiny room. Very small desk with no power supply, Very uncomfortable furniture (the most comfortable place to sit is on the bed) Limited breakfast (continental only), No coffee facilities in room. No evening meals in the Restaraunt and the takeaways in the local area aren’t that great (but they will deliver to your room). A big plus was Rolana, the evening receptionist. As a non German speaker, it was nice to come back to the hotel and have a conversation with someone who was enthusiastic to engage with their customers. She is definitely an asset to the hotel. Unfortunately the quality of the furniture let it down for me. The chair was uncomfortable and the desk too small (really small) with no power socket. I ended up most nights sitting on the bed with my computer on my lap plugged into the socket by the bed. Other than that, the hotel is clean and modern looking and very close to Rostock Centre. If they threw the stylish but uncomfortable chair out and replaced it with a reclining lazy boy chair, it would improve the comfort no end.

After parking at the in house garage for €15 checking took a while. Reduce to the max could be an overall comment for the standard room with double bed. Clean bath and modern lobby. Old city center in walking distance.

This Motel is located very near the center of Rostock. I has the nice view to a park and the Motel is quite high from the surrounding buildings. It was very nice to arrive with motorcycle as I was concerned that the did not have any place to provide for security and garage for it. So the story goes and I asked the reception how can we solve this. They had the best answer ever and just said put the bike next to the main entrance here under the roof and we will look after it all night long for you :-) The room was very nice and comfortable and I with my traveler could sleep very deep the whole night long. And I have to mention the breakfast at this Motel was so very great and tasty. We sat outside in the morning sun almost like on a garden and all the staff and people where so very nice and joyful.

We went on a cruise and stayed in Rostock close to the port. What a great location. Right across the street from the local train station and a ten minute walk to one of the most beautiful street I have seen in Europe. The room is very small so if you have a lot of suitcases it will be tight. Okay for one night. If you are packing light, it’s perfect. Very clean and modern. It had a nice bar and breakfast as well. I picked up a book and now will look for other European locations. So Go and Enjoy!

Like this group of hotels as they are usually quite close to railway stations with pretty standard rooms and amenities. This one was surprisingly over a mile from Rostock Hbf with no tram serving it FROM the station! Bear this in mind folks. It was hard work with wheelie case etc over uneven and small “sets” paths. Also sad to say local taxi drivers were unfriendly and unhelpful. Having said that there is good tram service TO the station!! Inexplicable tram line planning. Back to said hotel where rooms are “compact” shall we say but very modern and spotlessly clean. The beds are mega comfortable with plenty of pillow and cushion choices! They make a “big” thing of their rain showers but they are not for everyone. There is a small desk but plenty of plug sockets and usb for charging etc. The breakfasts are excellent with lovely fresh fruit (not tinned) and yoghurts. The staff are helpful (when not busy) and very friendly, which makes for an enjoyable stay.

We spent two nights in this hotel. I had a meeting in Rostock and my family accompanied me. We booked a family room. The room was rather tiny, but it was ok for us. The hotel is very clean, the staff is really friendly, everything is new and functional. It’s a pity that there is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are enough restaurants in the downtown which is a few steps away. Parking may be a problem as well. Breakfast was very good, coffee was perfect as well. Very nice experience. It was our first visit to Motel One and it was very good
