Ideal situated in the station area. Nice and very clean rooms. Soundproof rooms. Very friendly and Professional staff. Small but very cosy. Not the best area. But it take a 10 min walk to a better area.
The hotel is very close to the main station, which is excellent to get to and from the airport. It’s also walking distance from most attractions. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was pretty good with plenty of choice. Very nice and helps staff. As mentioned by other users it’s in a bit dodgy area of the city, as it happens near the main stations pretty much everywhere in Europe, so we were not surprised and we were 2 girls and never felt threatened or scared.
My husband and I and our 2 friends felt welcomed as soon as we entered the building and caught a glimpse of the cute lobby decor and were assisted by the VERY friendly check-in staff. We had just pulled into town by train and appreciated the mere 5 min. walk from the north side of the central train station. The offering of a 13 Euro breakfast buffet looked like quite a deal, in a vibrant dining area, but we didn't have time to enjoy it on this trip. After settling into our simple, but clean rooms we easily navigated a 15 min.walk to local walking/shopping areas where we were able to window shop and the dine outdoors and relax. What we did not appreciate about our hotel stay, was my unwittingly booking Non-Air-conditioned rooms! Who knew such rooms still existed and that one really had to read the fine print while booking? Another disconcerting discovery was that the hotel's location is juxtaposed between clean, upscale businesses and the tail-end of a homeless stretch. Turn right out the front door and all is well. Turn left, and left again, and you are in an area you don't want to be. If asked if I would book this hotel again, my answer would be yes, but I would insure we had air-conditioning and would purposefully navigate around the unsavory section nearby. *One final note, this hotel has at least 6 floors, and only one tiny elevator. Claustrophobic, or non-staircase walkers be forewarned.…
Called in as a stop off during a long journey, we arrived tired and ready for bed. Reception was extremely polite and efficient, getting us sorted within minutes. We are the room was clean and tidy, my only winge was the shower, when we turned the tap to hot the pressure dropped. Unfortunately we fell asleep so did not eat the evening meal and early start meant we had to rush off before breakfast. I would recommend the hotel in a heart beat and would happily stay there again
The hotel is walking distance from the train station, which is very convenient. The area itself is somewhat dodgy - the small square in front of the hotel was littered with drug paraphernalia. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The lift can accomodate two people max. The room was equipped with a mini-bar and a flat-screen TV, but no tea or coffee amenities. No internet password, but a voucher. My room was tiny and narrow with paper-thin walls - you can actually follow the conversation next door. No chance at all of spreading out your yoga mat - there literally is no space. The bathroom's lay-out was equally bad - you can barely turn around without bumping into the walls. Yes, I have read management's replies to reviews pointing out that anybody can book a "Komfort" room, but you know, I actually book a hotel because I expect the rooms to be comfortable. There definitely is room for improvement with respect to cleanliness (hairs sticking to shower walls). All in all my room was very dated - design, furniture and decor (everything was brown) - and below standard.…
