This really is a home away from home. Easy to find and close to the main train station, we were greeted warmly and was pleased to find that the staff spoke English quite well and check in was quick and easy. The room was exceptionally clean and although the room we chose wasn't large there was enough room for the two of us. The windows took a bit of getting used to but was great that they opened up for fresh air. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was incredibly good with quick access to hot water and great shower pressure. The area around the hotel isn't bad, though a few streets away isn't somewhere you'd feel comfortable visiting after dark. However the hotel is far enough away that it won't be anything to worry about. Would happily stay here again and fully recommend it.…
Excellent service, recommend to anyone The staff is amazing. In my way to Ukraine for humanitarian service I was a little concerned about the location. Hey, how can you go wrong next to the Police station. I stay here whenever I’m in Frankfurt.Restaurants are close by, train station and the hop on hop off bus, I recommend also The rooms are clean and light, bed is comfortable. Nice place all the way around. Small bar for a cocktail or soft drinks. No Restaurant but a great breakfast. The location is great, take the train anywhere, 15 min to the airport directly for about $6. Can’t get much better Enjoy
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location cannot be beat - across the street from the train station but very quiet (could not hear any trains). There is an elevator which is nice for luggage. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
This is our third visit to this hotel. It is extremely clean, very modern, with kind and helpful staff! They have a nice breakfast room which has been modified to comply with Covid standards. The staff is very helpful, pleasant, and professional! Highly recommend and very convenient location.
We used this excellent hotel as a rest stop after landing in FRA...just to catch our breath before starting our vacation in Switzerland. We were impressed with quality furnishings, friendly staff and proximity to train station. Renata and Lia were especially professional and friendly to us. Breakfast was very good. We knew it was by the train station (that's why we stayed there) but the room was still nice and quiet. There are several restaurants nearby and it is close to the market up the street.
The service was excellent, uncomplexed, friendly and simply easygoing! The room was clean, bathroom big and well equipped. Breakfast was very good and functional (well organized despite of corona crazyness). The location is right next to the main railway station, but the room was perfectly quiet. Nothing to critisize.
First of all the hotel is on an excellent location, looks clean , but our room was not really clean : dusted all over lamps, curtains and lots of dust under the bed. When booked on a third party breakfast was included: but receptionist Leah stated must pay e11.50 pp . I have contacted the agency several times and the called and spoke with her and reconfirmed breakfast was included on the rate. But she was determined to declined the service and it was not honored. I was furious not because I have no money to pay for meals ; but her customer service skills are not acceptable and I am determined to expose this on different reviews for people to be alert and aware. Here are some of the texts with agency : **Max Y. from Customer Service** Thank you for waiting. I just spoke to Lea/Receptionist at this property, and she now reconfirmed that this reservation includes breakfast and apologized for the confusion. Well she never honored it!!!! Can you believe this?? Not acceptable. She never even apologized or offer any good will gesture. Never again!!!!! I really hope this is published all over!!!…
I stayed in the Single Standard room back in December 2019 for 2 nights and for the price, don't think I could have gotten better! I arrived via Frankfurt International Airport, and departed 2 days later via the Hauptbanhof so the location was perfect. You literally have to walk across Poststrasse to get to the hotel from the station. Maybe a 2 minute walk, 5 if you're dragging luggage. The room itself had everything that I needed - comfortable bed, desk, just enough space for my suitcase, and a very decent sized ensuite bathroom considering this was a single room. Buffet breakfast was included, and the food provided was a great way to start the day. Coffee/tea, selection of juices, breads (that you could toast), yoghurt, fruits, pastries, eggs and a cold meat and cheese selection. The Christmas markets were on while I was there and to walk from the hotel to the market (using Romer - town hall - as the marker) maybe took me 20 minutes. It was a lovely walk as well! I did a walking tour through 'Frankfurt on Foot' as well, which gave me a good overview of Frankfurt and it's history (dating back to Ancient Rome) with the limited time I had in the city. I definitely recommend this company! I visited a few Christmas markets on the rest of my trip (up in and around Bremen), but for me I think the Frankfurt market was the best. It seemed to go on forever and there was lots of variety in what was being sold. I especially love the gluwein mugs you can buy (I got quite a few as souvenirs from the various markets!). If I return to Frankfurt again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again - the price, location, staff, everything really was great. Restaurant tip - just around the corner on Ottostrasse was a yummy restaurant called Fennischfuchser. I think for approx €15 I got not only my dinner (pork knuckle and sides), but a huge glass of delicious Apfelwein!! Thank you to the team at Hotel Hamburger Hof - I will return some day!…
It is a hotel across from the rail station so I hoped for adequate, if not wonderful. I was thoroughly delighted by the cleanliness, the attentiveness of the staff, and the very lovely breakfast. It was quiet and relaxing and we wished it was a longer stay for us.
We stayed here 1 night on our 10 day trip to Germany and Austria. We rented 2 rooms for my husband, myself and our 2 daughters in their 20s. Hotel was literally right across from the main train station which was great. It was about a 25 minute walk from the main downtown area. Since it was raining, we got an all day trans pass and it was only 2 stops away. The rooms were clean and comfy except for the large but flat pillows which seemed to be the norm in Germany. WiFi was good and so was the included breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. They do offer parking for 15 euros per night. It’s a bit of an ordeal though as you have to come to the hotel first for instructions and a pass to enter. It’s also a bit of a far walk from the hotel with your luggage. Be sure to drop that off first before parking. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others as long as your don’t mind being further from the main part of town. …
