This hotel is perfect in location, 10-15minute walk to the city centre along the river which was beautiful. Easy quick check in. Extremely clean rooms with unbelievably comfy beds, almost too comfy you didnt want to get up! Parking is on the streets and it took us ages to find a space and only free at the weekends (perfect for us but might be expensive in the week)
I travelled to The Corner Hotel with my brother for a short break over New Year. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most unfriendly lady receptionist.I frequently travel across the world and have stayed in many hotels, however I have never received such a horrific cold welcome. In fact the welcome was as cold as the temperature in Frankfurt, - 1c. The receptionist looked so angry and miserable, It was almost as if we were her enemies. Her customer service approach was both militant and abrupt. She was very keen for us to fill out the hotel terms and condition forms. We were happy to do so, however when we asked her questions about the forms she was reluctant to answer and made us feel like we had no right to ask anything. Although this wasn't the welcome we were looking for we were determined for this Ill mannered lady not to spoil our trip. The hotel is centrally located and relatively clean. There are restaurants, shops and bars within a 2 minute walk. My Brother and I booked a room with two single beds. The Beds were comfortable and the shower was good, However the pillows were like sleeping on a piece of A4 paper. Nevertheless I should point out that I did request new pillows and the hotel accommodated me. I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel for guests with disabilities as there are a number of doors you have to go through prior to arriving at your room (Three to be precise). Somebody who uses a walking stick or wheelchair would struggle unless they were accompanied by somebody . For the price my brother and I paid we can't complain too much as I do believe the hotel is value for money. However management should ensure that all guests are welcomed in a pleasant way, regardless if there trip is for business or pleasure. Manners don't cost anything.…
The hotel looks nice and modern terrific beds nice linen nice bathrooms Went to sleep at 9pm woke up 2 hoirs later itching like mad.tunred on the light and observed i had free company in thebform of bed bugs.they have changed my room but the suffering and itching continues i have stayed at many hotels in frankfurt and thisnis the first i experienced bed bugs in Germany .bathroom has a bad odor i think they need tocmaintain the property better as bed bugs are not to be tolerated . By the reactuon of the russian receptionist i sensed i am ot the only guest to complain about this issue recently
-Had to pay 5 Euro a day to get usable wifi, but it then worked well (free is limited to 1GB per day for everyone in the room! -Hallway had a horrible musky odour -No parking for a car, even no paid for parking -Reception was not manned when we arrived (early evening), I had to call a number to get someone to come and let us in.
The hotel has small rooms but they are comfortable. There is a safe in the room and it required to access doors to get to it. The shower doors were double set like a corner or right angle, I didnt quite fit in and one of the doors came off into my hand. I managed to slide it back on, seriously needs changing. Other than that a nice night sleep. Frankfurt is many things but it has its fair share of "dodgy" people, as in London, dont get involved or stare and you be fine,
Very nice stay in Frankfurt at the hotel ,stayed three nights and found it to have a great location. Just 5 minute walk from the main station ,very good room on level 5 ,great place to stay . Found it to be ideal for what we needed very handy to the city center loads of places for food all around ,had a twin room and found it very good . Would recommend.
IF I WERE YOU I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I stayed one night there and it was enough for someone to enter my room and STEAL all the cash I had inside my bag (around 650 euros). I did the check-in around 7 pm and left to have dinner, letting all my stuff inside the bedroom. When I came back I noticed all the money that I saved for my trip disappeared from my bag. There were no marks on the door, everything was perfectly in place (despite my money) and coincidentally the hotel has no cameras on the bedroom floors. My only suspicion is about someone who works at the Corner Hotel and has the key to access the rooms. They didn’t give any attention to me after I told them about the theft and the front desk guy even said it was pretty common in that location of the city. Talking about location, you should pay attention when walking on the streets around the hotel. There are plenty of people selling drugs and it seems to be a prostitution neighborhood (one of the reasons that unfortunately I preferred to let my money on the hotel). About cleanliness, there are many bed bugs and the room smells like cigarette. Honestly, pay 5-10 euros more and stay in another place but not this hotel.…
The hotel is on a busy corner and my room was above the trains going all the time, but I still have to give the hotel a 5. The room was spotlessly clean, free wifi, no breakfast, I was able to walk to old town, to the river and there are several restaurants within a 2 minute range.
A small, basic hotel within an easy walk from the main station and the town. The tiny reception area is attended 24 hrs, The room was small but clean, bright and adequately equipped. The staff were friendly.
When I read the reviews I was a little concerned about safety in the neighbourhood. I arrived before check in time but I was able to go straight to my room. The guy who checked me in was English or at least spoke perfect English with no accent. The room was amazing. Warm and cosy. Lovely bathroom. Great wifi and a fridge. I couldn't have wished for more. I decided to go out and so asked the same guy on reception about the neighbourhood. He said I may wish to avoid 2 small streets which he showed me on a map. In essence there are a few edgy streets in a very small area but within 5 minutes any direction you're next to skyscrapers and shops. Even in the so called "dodgy" area there is such a heavy police presence that it's safe. Yes I saw open drug use with syringes just 2 streets from the hotel but this is not an unsafe hotel. It's a fantastic hotel. All cities everywhere have similar areas near train stations. I just got on with my business and what other reviewers have called "dodgy" people got on with their business. Would I stay again? Damn right I would. Thank you Corner Hotel.…
