Really good location - near Berger street with all restaurants and bars. We also walked to city and back. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good for such a small hotel. Only negative thing is the church bells early in the morning.

We booked this hotel as it was near our relatives house. We were very satisfied - the room is specious and clean, free parking and Wi-Fi, good breakfast and very friendly hosts The only negative side are the stairs (no elevator)

My husband and I spent five nights at this hotel and loved our time there. The location is very convenient to reach Ubahn. Parking was safe and easy. A quick walk to Berger Strasse for great food and drink. Since we were there during traditional vacation time in Germany, the restaurant at the hotel was only open for breakfast.

I've written previous posts on this hotel, so won't bother to repeat my previously mentioned reasons for why I like it (location, lack of traffic, good restaurant, etc.). The only thing I would add on this trip is that breakfast was a bit late to be prepared, forcing me and several other guests to wait on breakfast roles and five-minute...

This place is not modern with a lot of luxury, but if you’re looking for quiet and quaint location then this is what you are looking for. This place has plenty of old world charm and what I loved most down pillows and comforters. Our room over looked a patio and garden, a nice place to relax, have drinks, and...

I selected this hotel in the west end of Frankfurt to get a genuine German experience. The hotel has a number of constraints, but its advantages compensate for them. The hotel is very close to the U4 subway line, 3 minutes walk by a sinuous route. This line takes you to the main railway station in 10 minutes and to...

Years ago I lived in Bornheim and, when moving to Switzerland, stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights after our apartment had been packed up. I was back in April 2013 and had forgotten what a nice hotel and restaurant the Schmaerrnche is. I love Bornheim and the Berger Str., so always try to stay there when I'm...

Had a pleasant stay there. Price reasonable. Free internet was a very nice touch. Friendly staff. Although the hotel is located in the city, it has a very special and charming "village like" atmosphere. Definitely a good choice.

Most citizens of Frankfurt would not know that the "Schmaernche" Restaurant--an institution with 140 years of tradition--also has a small three-star hotel associated with it, with 11 rooms in several half-timbered buildings. Tripadvisor did not even have one review posted regarding the hotel, so I want to spread the word. We stayed at the "Schmaernche" in late October for four...

This is really a strange hotel: in the middle of the Frankfurt high rises, you all of a sudden stumble into a collection of houses and additions in which quite a number of rooms are available. The place is clearly family run, and these people are all very friendly. The reception is located inside the bar/restaurant that looks like a...

“Be aware, there are no elevators here. If you have a large bag and an upstairs room like I had, you will have to lug it up tight stairs and around corners.”
