We made a booking to stay at this hotel. The staff was rude. The rooms was dirty and it had a terrible smell. The guy who worked at the reception called me and idiot and other things. F*** this hotel.
I have been working in Hannover and decided to visit a few friends in Hamburg. I initially booked for one night but I did book for a second night because I could not be bothered to check out and then wait to check in to another hotel. The hotel itself was clean, room was fine and overall good for the price. The Tv didn’t work in the room but I don’t really watch it so didn’t bother me and I didn’t complain. The staff were the real let down. I did not have an interaction with a member of staff which I thought was pleasant. I came across one who I would go as far as to say was homophobic. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone from the LGBT community.
We were coming to Hamburg for completing the Ironman. When we booked the room - chosen out of 3 based on distance from start & cost - we told them we will come with bikes. When we got there, we were told we cannot put the bikes in the room. That was the first issue. The area is not the best...although short walk and you can find some nice places. The rooms don't have a fridge or air-con (it was the heatwave ) or kettle or anything. There was one bottle of water on the desk which my friend drank but no idea they will charge us 4Euros for that bottle at the end. There is no sign, not in the guide to warn you that you will pay a ridiculous price for a 500ml water. She paid at the end then they asked a million questions about how many bottles she had and if she paid and if she was sure if it was only that bottle. We just couldn't believe it...We asked reception if we could have a kettle as we would like to make some porridge or coffee at least (we had those but needed hot water) on race morning at 4.30am but on the day there was a different receptionist who got very grumpy that we asked for his - as he told us - own kettle. We said we will bring it down when we leave for the race, only needed it for 10 minutes. He rang our room in the morning, asking for the kettle back!!?? Like we were going to steal the kettle??!!! There was some kind of gas problem in the hotel as well which apparently never happened before but overall, this hotel and some of the staff (there are some and friendly staff of course) are an utter disaster. Sure, if you don't require anything in your room, you just want a bed & a bathroom and free breakfast, then it's your hotel. If you may need at least a few basic stuff, I'd recommend going somewhere different.…
Clean rooms, free breakfast, no problems with staff. Overall decent. A bit of a trek to the reeperbahn though. I'd probably stay in a different area if I was going to Hamburg again, but this was a good stay.
We were in town for a few days and this hotel servee our needs. It's in walking distance to two metro stations, as well as the central train stations. There are plenty of food options in the vicinity. Parking on the street is free on weekends, but if you move your car to the hotel's parking garage for the week days, it is €15 a day. Breakfast is included, and it's pretty standard fare. This is a no frills hotel that served our purposes for the first few days of our trip.
