A lovely, clean hotel in the best location opposite the main station. The room was excellent and warm, the beds good and firm [just how i like them] so slept like a log.Very nice restaurant/bar right next door.Didn`t bother with breakfast as there is such a lot round about, especially in the main station, but it did smell lovely as we passed the breakfast room. Will return to the bismarck before very much longer.

Easy booking on line and answered questions quickly. The hotel is situated just across the road from the central station is really good if travelling. Check in easy and staff were friendly and helpful. Very confusing layout to find rooms ( it took us 2 attempts and felt like it was ages to find our room). The room ( when we found it) was comfortable and clean -exactly what was expected. Breakfast was really good - it was €14 but was great value - constantly refreshed hot and cold food and lots of choice. Restaurant staff were very friendly and when not busy took time to chat to us. There is a luggage storage facility to leave bags after checkout. Overall a great hotel in a great location, great value for money - what more could we want ( other than a map to our room) - so net time we visit Hamburg the Fuerst Bismarck will definitely be our first choice.

We came to Hamburg for a rock concert on a Saturday night so the location was perfect for us - across the street from the central train station so easy to get to from everywhere, including late at night and a lot of places around open at night/on Sunday. Our room was on the 6th floor - the elevator only reaches the 5th floor but that was fine for us. The room was a nice size, the bathroom great and the bed comfortable. The WiFi didn't work in the room but was great when we sat with our laptops at the lobby. I appreciated the view of the station and with the windows closed the room was SILENT which was perfect since I'm a light sleeper. Staff at front desk helpful and nice and it was great that we could leave our bags after check-out. The only downside (apart from no wifi in the room) was that on Sunday morning cleaning of the neighboring room started at 8:00am and was so noisy that I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. At 9am they knocked at our door although they could have known from reception that we were in (you leave the old-fashioned key at the reception when you leave the hotel).

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. I mainly chose this hotel due to its proximity to the station. But the fact that they also give you a 3 day pass for all Hamburg transportation is enough to make you decide to stay here. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the bus station and directly across from the train station. It's also right next to a Block House restaurant. There are plenty of little shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is 14 Euro, which I think is pricey, but it's pretty typical for this kind of location. I didn't have breakfast, so maybe their selection justifies the cost. I've read some other reviews on here that the hotel is kind of a maze to get to some of the rooms. Maybe that's true, but I got lucky. I was able to take the elevator right next to the reception desk and go straight to my room. I'm not sure what their method is of classifying the locations of the rooms, but if you're put off by these reviews, I've added a pic of the elevator that I used. Maybe these are the easiest rooms, and you can request to stay in one of these. I stayed in a classic room, room number 5505. I can't truly speak to the noise level as I always have my ear plugs when I travel. But I can say that it was pretty quiet until I went to bed, which was around 10pm. The people at reception are very nice and friendly and speak good English. The hotel offers free wi-fi, a luggage room to which you are given a code, a lounge where you can buy coffee & tea, and a business center. You can also book sightseeing tours at the reception. The only negative thing I have to say is that the heater just didn't seem to get hot enough. Only part of it got warm, which made the room only a lukewarm temperature. And this is not all that great when it's 1degree outside. Had I stayed more than 1 night, I would have said something. I definitely recommend this hotel!!

I booked two nights accommodation at hotel fuerst bismarck during the October bank h oliday weekend. The hotel is located next to the main train station of Hamburg. In fact, I saw the hotel when I came out of the exit of the train station upon my arrival in the city center of Hamburg. The price of a nights stay at the hotel is not excessive, and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel provides free travel on the train in Hamburg. I found this very useful, since the day I was leaving, I had a morning flight, and I was able to get the train to the airport quite quickly. The hotel also provides a filling breakfast, to set you up for a day touring the city of Hamburg.
