I booked through hotels.com agency a room from 14 to 18 september 2020. They didn’t comply to the terms of the contracts because I called after 6 pm and the contracts specify that I should be entitled to be partially reimbursed. I did everything to cancel the booking but the Novum denied the cancellation without reason and specially they didn’t comply with the terms of the contracts. They breach the rules of the cancellation and you didn't propose any alternative : I was expecting a full refund or a voucher for the same amount at least but nothing has been proposed and then this breached the contract and then IT IS ILLEGAL FROM NOVUM HOTEL! I copied by email the european consumer center (ECCIE-9662)with a complaint number against Novum Graf Hotel in Hambourg, the novum hospitality info center and the CEO of NOVUM HOSPITALITY. Don’t go to this hotel.

Booked this hotel for myself and in-laws for 4 days in Hamburg. The good thing about the hotel is that is less then a 10min walk from the main train station Hamburg Central. Outside the hotel there are alot of homeless people and it's quite dirty. Also this is not a place to stay if you have can't walk up stairs...did not know that at the time of booking. Had to carry all our bags up the stairs to the front desk and my mother-in law has really bad knees. The streets also right outside are really run down. I wouldn't book here again just because of that. It was safe enough to walk around at night but not nice at all. As for the rooms, the first room was okay with a large shower to walk in. The second room was in the stairwell with a bathtub. We stayed in the second room and it was awful. Everyone seemed to sneak a smoke in the hallway which would fill our room up with smoke which i'm really allergic to. There are no fridges in the room also for us north american travelers. We never did make it down for the breakfast but did go down to take a few plates to the room. The are did look nice. The staff were friendly and help in giving directions. Overall it's a budget hotel best suited for a weekend stay.

The hotel is located very close to Hamburg Central Train station (about a 2 min walk). As I walked into the hotel at 11:00PM, there were lots of "characters" hanging around the hotel. Also, walked into a fight between a customer and the receptionist. The receptionist apparently had walked into their daughter's room unannounced. Needless to say, it was not the most pleasant introduction to the hotel. The rest of the stay was thankfully uneventful. The room itself was very basic. The bed was not the most comfortable. My room was facing the main road, so was quite noisy, not from cars, but people yelling all night !! The towels were stained and dirty, had to reorder new ones. The breakfast was nice. They had a good spread of choices. The staff at the breakfast room are very nice. You can get to the train station very easily which makes it easy to visit all the attractions in Hamburg. There are decent and cheap restaurants near the hotel for lunch and dinner. Some good doner kebab restaurants near the hotel I would advice to practice all forms of safety as a tourist when you stay at the hotel (watch out for your belongings, passport, money, valuables etc). Overall, I am unsure if I would like to stay again. The only reason I'd stay again is proximity to the station and cheaper rates.

Nice, clean rooms. The breakfast was ordinary; bread, ham/cheese and scrambled eggs. The coffee was not particularly tasty. We were allowed to stay another hour before check-out (for free). Good service!

Spent 2 nights during a weekend trip to Hamburg. Nice hotel, serves breakfast with lots of choices, nice staff, just next to the train station and the bus station, big-city-noise to be expected (police station down the road), lively neighbourhood.
