We were placed in a room right outside reception and right next to the entrance door to the hotel which was never locked! The neighbour is dodgy with very drunk people walking around during the day, so the fact the door to the hotel (next to our room) was always unlocked was unsettling. The pictures of the rooms were misleading, our room only fit the bed and our TWO bags took up the rest of the floor space. Shared bathroom was on a different floor to our room with no privacy as we had to walk past reception and up main stairwell to have a shower or use the toilet! It says that the rooms are soundproof but we could hear reception watching videos and people arriving all night. House keeping was not daily as described, and room felt dirty upon arrival. Very overpriced and would not recommend this place to anyone. We were only here for two nights but could not wait to leave. Unfortunately has ruined our stay in Hamburg.…
We selected the hotel because for a little more than the price of a bunk bed in a hostel in sankt pauli you get a private room with a shower. The location is on walking distance from the central station, but in an area with sex shops prostitution and strange bars. During the day it looks like banlieu, but around midnight its was relatively quit. The rooms were not cleaned throughly. There was dust on the lamps, some spiderweb in the cupboard and rubbish under the bed. But the beds itself look clean. There is some moist in the shower since there was no ventitalation, but it looks clean for the rest. Staff is not super friendly, but ok. This is a good place if you don't want to stay in a hostel, but just need a place to stay the night.
The room was very small and cramped. The SHARED bathroom was dirty and smelt bad. The bed linen was dirty and to top it all off - gave us head lice! the area is terrible, avoid at all costs. Breakfast was awful, cold scrambled egg, cheese that had sat out for hours, soft cereal. Not worth any money at all - do not go anywhere near. If I could give it 0 i would!!
Stayed here more than 3 times, and had very consistent experiences. Staff is friendly, but quiet. Rooms are simply just beds and a small desk, but this is sort of hotel you book if you just need a place to sleep. The area is known for its gay cruising sites and mixed population, and I would not stay here with kids. The price you pay compared to the quiet but very central location, is very fair, but cleanliness could be better. A good place for the money - but think of it more as "a bed", than a room you would like live in.
A box room which was supposed to be a double. Double bed which had a single quilt on and if you opened the door you could almost touch reception. A joy as you can imagine, hotel entrance and reception just outside of the room with “guests’ arriving 24/7. Noisy with unhelpful staff. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I honestly don’t know how my operator has the cheek to call it a hotel room and have it on their site.
