New fancy hotel in Hamburg St. Pauli, close to the Fischmarkt. Rooms having a very special and cool design. I had a room facing the Elbe and the neighbour building. Great bed and linen, tea provided for free, good WIFI-signal. Breakfast was average; ordered egg dishes didn’t been served, buffet plates not refreshed, no cold cuts (sausages) available.

As a frequent traveler I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. With other wonderful options in HH - do not stay here. There is no help with luggage, luggage cart or and hotel entrance. Signage was unclear - could not see entrance to garage or where to go to get to the hotel. The reception is all the way on the top of an office building. The hotel floors are mixed in with office floors. The rooms are tiny. Everything is black and dark. We had a room with a spectacular view but in the summer it is unbearable. There is no AC and no ventilation, it's like sleeping in a sauna. They provided a tiny fan that did nothing. Our room had no space to move, it was dirty with cobwebs and spiders. It was missing towels, and there was no way to call reception - you had to leave the room to go upstairs. Apparently they are still in the opening phase (open since April - so 5 months!) and were waiting on I-pads to communicate with front desk. Room cleaning was sub-par - housekeeping only emptied our garbage can once during the stay and did not clean coffee mugs/glasses. There was a coffee machine but no coffee. The only amazing thing at this hotel was the bar- the view is amazing and the cocktails are world-class. The team that works at the bar is incredibly talented. When we complained to management on staff they asked: "What did you expect from a hotel room?". So rude...they did credit us for one bar bill but that hardly made up for the stay. Interestingly, we complained to the person on duty the evening before and she acknowledged all the issues and said sorry. If they are still in the opening phase, their prices should have been a lot lower. Cannot recommend...

This hotel is rather strange as the reception is on the 7th floor and the rooms below. This means that check in and check out take longer than they need to. The corridors to the rooms are also very dark, in fact they are painted black. The room was pleasant but noisy (mainly from the strange and very noisy ‘vacuum’ toilet flushes like you have on a plane) which meant a poor night of sleep. There also didn’t appear to be aircon but only a small desktop fan which was surprising for a 4* hotel. Staff didn’t care to ask ‘how was your stay’ at checkout and generally didn’t seem that interested.

The views are so fascinating, you oversee the action of elbe river and parts of the harbour from top floor. I loved it so much that spent most of my time there, zipping coffee Rooms are first - small, but cleverly decorated and furnished. Toilet has a suction technique, shower is tiny, too, but appliances etc all work very well and all is brand new or only a few years old. Noise was zero, as we opened the windows to the court. slept well-.

I travel a lot so i can adjust and accept and dont expect perfectionism, but this was far from pleasant stay. Room to river was tiny, okay if you stay 1-2 nights i guess but no storage space to put things at, no even floor space where to put luggage or 2. Door on chain so you cannot open it and let the fresh air in or see what is outside. Non-stop river transport and port noise. Room to street has no safe! Room was much bigger but as the street has cobbles it was unbelievably noisy. You could hear every car from far distance. There is also loud night club almost opposite the hotel. All rooms are black and dust everywhere. Toilet has the airplane mechanism - super noisy. Count with waking up whole floor if used at night. Light in bathroom is on sensor but behind ceiling steel beam so after few minutes you will shower in darkness or you have to get out of the shower and wave at the sensor. Strangers with room card (no cleaner or room service) came twice to our room and left without any explanation as soon as they found someone is in the room. Breakfast is super poor in general terms of standard hotel breakfast and even more as you pay extra here for it. Forget about this hotel if you are a vegetarian or just want to have some veg with your breakfast and only if you are lucky staff will offer you egg omelette.
