The room was small, with an average size bathroom. The location was kind of far from the sights we wanted to see. It took us about 2 hours to walk the 6 km to the Miniature Wonderland, which is close to the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. There are plenty of bus stops along the way though. The hotel is a small building, not what we expected from a hotel. Parking was at a detached park house (a few minutes walk away), for a daily fee. We were lucky and found a parking space along the street. Street parking is free. We did not take the breakfast, since, like so many others pointed out, it only consisted of coffee and a couple of slices of bread and cheese or cold cuts. There are several restaurants close by, some offering warm breakfast for a reasonable price, with eggs made to order. Our room had a balcony, which was nice, although it was on the side of the street. We received two keys (and I mean keys, not key cards!), one for the front door and one for the room. Wi-Fi was available and worked fine.

We stayed here to be near friends. The only good thing was we were walking distance to our friends, train, and bakery. The room was small. The couch that transferred into a bed was uncomfortable for our daughter. The price was very high because of a business fair downtown even though this place is a 10-15 minute train ride from downtown. There were many cobwebs on the walls in the room. The breakfast was very minimal for the 7,50 euro charge.

We paid 85€ per couple per night with breakfast. I would say 60€ per night would reflect the hotel as a whole. The room was fine as was the bedding. I totally agree with the cold room, you must check your radiators are on every time you go back to the room after it has been cleaned . Also the heating in the hotel is on a timer to switch off at 22:00hrs so if you are in after that the room is very cold.i also had to switch the radiators on in the foyer and the breakfast room every time I went past them.our shower(room 1) was really good but the hotel was not that busy.the water system is noisy but not that it would ruin your stay.breakfast was very average and limited but you can ask for more if you want.breakfast in surrounding area was about 3€ each more so it depends on your budget. All in all it was all we needed for the 2 night stay as access to the train from the airport and into hamburg centre was fine. If you do stay there don't expect perfection. I will say that if you do stay their is a restaurant/bar around the corner by the train station steps called Steins which was great for food and drinks and very reasonable for the quality you got

The room was dirty (stains, and I saw how they "cleaned" the rooms) and cold. If you want to take a shower at "rush hour", prepare yourself for cold water. Poor breakfast, you can get a less expensive and better one in chain bakeries. The room was dirty (stains, and I saw how they "cleaned" the rooms) and cold.
