It is indeed an old hotel with a lot of charme and history. The interior has a classic decor, but despite that the rooms are very modern and with good bathrooms. We had a room with view over the lake and the fountain, which was really beautiful. The breakfast is fine, but nothing special, and I regret to have paid for it. The location is a bit outside the center, but this can be easily reached in 30 minutes on foot. The hotel has a great location for spending some time in the amazing city park, and you have at walking distance a lot of nice local restaurants. It is very good if you come by car, as the parking outside is free, but I think they miss some spots for electric cars with some fast charging capabilities. We saw an electric car parked that was charging with the normal plug, this is suboptimal for an hotel of this kind. The hotel has a nice outside pool, but it is a bit underground, and has no view of the park. The cafe is fine, but the quality of the cakes was so and so for the price, while the tea was very good. Finally people working there are very kind and easy to approach. In general we got a decent price and for this reason it was a very nice stay, but the place could improve.…
We arrived 6.3o pm and was met by a very friendly guy in the reception. We also, got a very nice suit but the positive ended there. There were 6 persons in the restaurant but we were told it was fully booked, so we had to order room-service. We had room-service from the same restaurant so this is 2 star service. Why can’t people have a place in the restaurant when we have a suit at the hotel? We waited for half an hour for something to drink in the lounge/bar and needed to contact them three times to get any attention. In our opinion this is a 5 star hotel with 2 star restaurant/bar service - what a shame
We stayed here one night. Everything was perfect, the hotel is so beautiful, great spa, pool and gym. Thank you Miss D. Winkler at the reception for the professional and helpful attitude and warm welcome and goodbye!
This newly decorated hotel could be reason enough to visit Bremen. In stark contrast to the backside of the trainsation, the Parkhotel is easily accessible to and fro, it does reflect the rich history of this very old town. You have all amenities you can think of. The rooms are, however, a tad small on occasions. The bathrooms are clean and nicely done. So ask for a bigger room right when you check in. Breakfast is plenty, smokers room is fantastically refurbished and will accomadate even the ardent non-smoker. The restaurant is well groomed, the food is good also. The staff is friendly, welcomming and always ready to help. You truly can spend time here not feeling guilty not to stroll during the park in which this hotel is resting. Strangely though, I asked for some photos from previous years to see what the hotel looked like before it had been refurbished. But you will not find any. Not even on the internet. It feels it never existed before.…
We booked our room spontaneously as we initially didn‘t plan on staying in Bremen any longer. Therefore we arrived at the hotel 15 minutes after booking (as we were already in the city).. And here is the point: The room was not prepared very well. All surfaces were coated with lots of dust, the mini bar was empty, no robe or hotel slippers which should be a standard for a 5* hotel and no complimentary water bottle. It would have been more professional to tell us that the room / junior suite was not ready, offer us some tea/coffee/water and kindly ask if we could wait for 15 minutes than just handing out the room card for us to immediately enter the suite. The hotel itself is beautiful and pompous, located in the peaceful „Bürgerpark“. The park is a perfect hideaway where you can switch off and unwind. Also, there are some major renovations in the hotel so expect a little noise at some times. I would still recommend it as I think that the current pandemic causes many hotels to work with minimum resources which sometimes results in unprepared rooms.…
