We spent here 3 nights on New Year's time. Location is really good. Public transportation is really good. There's u-bahn station just outside the hotel and local train station just 800 m away. A lots of restaurants nearby and grocery stores. We didn't book breakfast since it would have cost 10 €/each/day. Instead we went to buy some breakfast stuff...

Although it looks old, it is a very comfortable, friendly and cosy hotel. The only minus is that we paid for one double bed but we got 2 singles, which is so uncomfortable. We didn't say anything, however it is so dissapointing when you get something you didn't pay for. Close to U station and amenities. Friendly staff. Tip: give...

We stayed for 2 nights. The staff were helpful in helping us get around, however the room was average. The internet was horrible, one of the elevators indicated you could hire a modem to make it faster but it was only by chance we used that elevator to know this, it was not offered on check in. On site and...

Stayed here on a girls holiday to Berlin for the Christmas markets. Found this hotel online and it was a great find. The underground station was right outside and it took about 10 minutes to get into the centre. A few points that let it down was the heat of the rooms! Far too warm and the reception staff could...

Visited here for mid-week break with partner to see the sights of Berlin. Hotel is in a good location with good transport links into the city centre. Subway station right outside the hotel which takes less than 5 minutes to get into the city centre. Hotel itself is basic but good enough for a city break. Few complains on here...

The hotel is very well situated with regard to public transport. It is built almost on top of the Samariter Strasse U-Bahn station, and is only one U-Bahn stop (U5) from the S-Bahn (S9) train that goes direct to Schonefeld Airport, and is only 7 U-Bahn stops away from Alexanderplatz - so roughly 10 minutes from the city centre. The...

We usually stay in similar hotels when travelling around the UK and to be fair this was better than we expected. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of shops around and the U Bahn station is right outside, which will take you to Alexanderplatz in a few stops. It is located on the very busy Frankfurter Strasse...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
