Found this place on Trip Advisor as it fit our budget (my wife and myself) following a wedding that we participated in, in Cologne (Koln). Booked on Hotels.com to get my points. We came in on the train from Cologne, got off near Zoologischer on bus and walked with luggage about 15 minutes. I told my wife I wasn't sure... More

We stayed at Stars Guesthouse for 3 days and our accommodation in the 'HipHop' room surprised us for the amazing coziness and fanciness, we were so enthusiastic! I would just suggest the owners to change the info about the breakfast, as the websites describe a buffet served directly in the building, while in fact you have to move in a... More

I really loved my stay here. It started out with a very warm and personal greeting from Heidi who was very gracious and welcoming. I'd arrived before check-in and the room wasn't yet cleaned but Heidi showed me the room, let me store my belongs in it, and explained the area to me, along with sights around Berlin. The room... Great rooms with very comfortable beds. Good location with many restaurants and shops close by and the city centre is easily accessible by a metro stop 5-10 minutes away. Only thing to improve (for which we were warned) would be the hot water in the showers didn't last enough! Beyond that it was perfect for a good price!

This excellent Guesthouse is one the first floor of a period block just off a lovely landscaped square with its own underground station: Louise Victoria Platz. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and clean, bathroom modern and spotless. The room was quiet and well furnished, the bed very comfortable and there was coffee and tea facilities. We... More

Located in the Schöneberg district in West Berlin, this guesthouse/hotel is an excellent choice for couples - with plenty of nice restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities within a short walking distance. The area just around the hotel is real quiet, with little traffic. Our room, the Bossa-Nova, was right opposite the main entrance and reception area, so if you like... More

We had a double private room, which was spacious-good sized wardrobe, desk and sofa bed. Bed was extremely comfortable! We had breakfast included (didn't realise this until we arrived) which was in the form of a voucher to be spent at nearby restaurants, we chose Potemkin and would highly recommend! Building was safe and quiet. Perfect.

This small Hotel/ Guesthouse is housed in a beautiful old building in the heart of the Schöneberg area. Doors and windows are on a grand scale,as is the staircase but the lift is there if needed. My room was a good size, was very clean and had everything I needed, including a balcony, coffee machine, kettle etc. The owner,Olaf, was there... More

We've stayed in the Stars apartments several blocks away from Welserstrasse but I decided to write a feedback 'cause the place deserves it. The good. The overall quality matches good against the price. Nice location if you have no specific goal (10 min on foot to Ku'dam, 15 - to Park, 5 - to metro, very close to Kaiser store).... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
