The city hotel am Kurfurstendamm is very well situated, right on the Kurfurstendamm. It is less than a 2 minute walk to the u-bahn (subway) station adenauerplatz, where also a lot of busses have a stop. Along the Ku'damm there are a lot of shops, the most nearest to the hotel are quite upscale, but also more chains are there....

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to a metro station. Rooms size are reasonably sized, though conditions are old but clean. The hotel reception is not located on the ground floor; one must walk up the staircase or take a lift in order to get to the reception (beware the entrance at the ground floor does not...

We liked the hotel, the rooms (even though they were not that modern), the food was good(but it was the same everyday ) and information provided by the staff was helpful. We liked it very much that it was on a street full with shops for every kind of person. Now, the bad aspects. One of them will be the...

Our recent college group to Berlin really enjoyed staying at the City-Hotel which is spread out over several floors of a classic Berliner Wohn- und Geschäftshaus. The international staff was welcoming, extremely friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. This is not a new or modern hotel, but most of the rooms are very spacious, some even feature balconies and the...

I really liked this hotel. The staff was very kind, speak English and were always there for answering questions. Our room had enough space and the beds were good. Breakfast was also good. For the price we paid for this hotel, we can't complain. I would definitely reccommend this hotel!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
