Modern clean quiet room with a/c which was needed. Located close to Metro, Trains and hop on hop off bus tours. Shopping and eating all around and many restaurants to choose from at very reasonable prices.

Excellent location. Beautiful room. Also very reasonably priced. About a half mile walk to either Museum island or Brandenburg. Also easy metro access. Loved that there was a free washer and dryer available as this was at a mid point in our trip.

The hotel based in the city center , very close to Friedrichstrasse station, can walk to shopping district . The room was very clean and quite. The staff is so friendly they explained every detail of travel information to us. The is a speaker in the room which can be connected with your phone or pad.

Went on a midweek break to Berlin. Stayed at these apartments which were top notch . Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Friedrichstrabe station only 5mins walk away as we flew into Schoenefeld airport and train trip was only 30mins. Very cheap also around 3.30euro one way. If I was going back to Berlin I'd definitely go back here as...

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Berlin. It has a great location right in the middle of all the sightseeing and shopping. The rooms are high quality in a modern style. The room we stay has a bed area, a sitting area, a small enclosed balcony, a small kitchen table and a small kitchen area with sink,...

We stayed here midweek in August and were amazed by the calm and quite during peak tourist season . Staff were very professional here and gave us very helpful and good recommendations of nearby places to eat. Rooms are fitted out to a very high standard. Looking forward to staying here when I return

On a recent trip to Berlin I did quite a few tours, but one of them will stick out in my mind for a very long time indeed. The tour I speak of was a walking tour - "Last days of the War". This tour was made so memorable for me because of the brilliant guide we had - his...

Great location close to Brandenburg gate. This is a modern hotel. Each suite has a kitchenette and bathroom. Not all rooms have bathtubs, for those who care about this. No need to go for breakfast or dinner at the adjoining restaurant - there are others around including a fun cafe just around the corner. I was lucky enough to be...

Most of the other TA reviews say the same favorable things....and they are right. They DO offer several floorplans, some of which have greater kitchen abilities. Our studio did not have a microwave, but yes to fridge, Nespresso machine and very nice cutlery and glassware. Be sure to initially arrive by 10PM, because after that, reception is locked. Also if...

This is the third time we have stayed at the clipper City Home and would not hesitate to return. The location is superb and only a short walk to the Brandenburg gate. The desk staff are really nice and are very helpful. The car park is in the street to the rear of the building and is easy to enter...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
