We booked the Lodge for 6 of us on a hen do. We weren't expecting luxury but on first arrival we were a bit dissapointed as it smelt a bit nasty and it was a bit rough round the edges.

The location is great - that's the only positive fact about Lodge Berlin. The building is in a terrible state, very run-down. Although the photos on the website look different, the apartment itself is very basic, without any comfort. We had apartment no. 1: couch...More
The good news: It's very clean (inside the apartment), reasonably priced.
If you are in your 20's and into late-night partying, this is the location for you. The area is full (and I mean packed!) with kids partying, eating out, and generally having a good...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
