This place has some bad reviews on the internet , why I don’t know. I came here in an emergency, had no where else to go. It is the perfect hostel, staff is friendly and helpful, the place is clean, good but small kitchen, no problems sleeping. The price is low, so low that I just assumed that this was...

By far the best thing about this hostel is the location. Situated conveniently near to a number of Berlin's most popular bars and clubs in the Kreuzberg area and the Berlin Wall, we were able to walk to most places we visited. Bedrooms and communal space were perfect for what you pay (particularly for a group of friends who don't...

My friend and I had such a great stay at this hostel! We were looking for a place to meet some interesting people and we sure picked the right spot. The hostel is located in Kreuzberg, which is a great place in Berlin for young people. Lots of street art and little cafes and interesting hipsters walking their funny dogs....

Really nice place to stay! Totally recommended! Hostel is situated in very pleasant part of the city. Rooms are pretty cool, bathroom too(only if it's not broken) ;). Good memories! Probably because of staff, especially Alberto! Always helpful and full of positive energy! ;)

The hostel is clean, has really nice staff and I loved the fact that there is a kitchen you can use. The showers are pretty good, they're clean and always have warm water. The only thing I didn't like is that you don't have any privacy when showering, there is no place you can dress or undress without anyone seeing...

First of all,it's not cheap at all. They advertise bed from 9 euros but the cheapest you can get in august is 14 euros or so,and it's a 12 beds mixed dorm! You can get a much better room with 2 extra euros at any her hostels! Secondly, the wifi usually doesn't freaking work. I can only connect my ipod to the...

The location was really good, and we got free coffee in the morning, but the rest sucked. The room could not be locked and the lockers were too small to put our backpack in. The shower also could not be locked and had cold water. The rooms were right next to a busy street so that you could hear what...

Worst hostel ive stayed at on my trip in europe. Untidy, cramped, bunkbeds were a H&S issue for sure person above me was prctically ontop of me. This is the only hostel that i would never ever ever go back too.

The location is brilliant, right in the heart of Berlin's counter culture quarter. Nice and clean (cleaner was present every day), friendly staff, internet, kitchen, free tea and coffee. Fairly quiet but with just enough socializing opportunity so you can make friends and exchange local knowledge and ideas.

Thank James C

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.

“They are making female dorms, I'd advise you to go because the other tenants are nice but some people might be uncomfortable”

“We stayed as a couple and got a dorm room. I'm not sure if that was the only mixed dorm, but it meant we got the entire dorm room to ourselves, which was very pleasant. Might be a good idea for couples on a budget who don't want to splash out on a private room.”
