Just returned from a family holiday in Berlin. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercure Chateau. The room was big and comfortable with all necessities. Towels were changed daily and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent there was something for everyone - eggs, bacon sausages, cold meats, salads, fruits and different rolls. My son particularly enjoyed the...

Small frontage lots rooms at back. +Ves Big rooms, fridge, breakfast included, decent tv size, good area, clean. -ves, zero character, pretty indifferent reception, slippery bathroom floor, thin ish walls, only one British station -bbc world . Would not actively want stay here again but it did the job just fine. Another reviewer hit the nail...

Very good location - not far from main public transport lines, supermarkets and everything one needs nearby. Very clean, very nice breakfast, and above all very friendly and helpful staff, that assisted with information and advice. we were there during the weekend, and could easily park on the street in front of the hotel.

what a four-star searcher expects: roomy and clean rooms, rich breakfast, proximity to public transportation, central location, hospitality (esp Aramis, as others have mentioned) despite skeleton staff, reasonable price. Not a hotel for business meetings, and not a hotel for pampering. for these you'll have to go somewhere else.

Hotel located close to Kudamm and walking distance to metro. Approx five minutes from Savignyplatz which is a cosy area with many pubs and restaurants. Hotel is clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast very good but not for free as indicated on some booking sites.

Service was friendly We didn´t have breakfest included the price so we got breakfest for the market located in the same building. In the same street there was kiosk open 24 hours.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
