Staff was really nice and helpful, location is very easy to reach from Tegel Airport and by public transportation. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Found breakfast very expensive (12 euros per person) so didnt have it at the hotel - I walked up to the closest Starbucks.

I am currently staying in this hotel. It is important to note that this hotel don't have camera servilliance and don't take any responsibility for your lost stuff. I lost my laptop bag during the check-in. We checked in a group of 20 and were called one by one for signing. When I shared with staff that my luggage is...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and arranged for us to have an early check in after a very early start from the UK. The hotel is in a fantastic location just off the main Kurfurstendamm area. Within easy walking distance of some great shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. A great bus...

Mercure Hotel Chateau Berlin is right in the middle of what was once West Berlin. It provides good service at a reasonable price. Our room was very nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We didn't have any problems. I don't really care if the hotel is three or four stars. It's well worth its price....

We spent five nights at the Chateau Hotel. Staff are very friendly and multi-lingual. For a city like Berlin with many centers, the hotel is not right at the center but at the Ku'damm Street, which was the center of "West Berlin" once. The airport Tegel is only one bus away. The starting point of the tour buses and the...

This hotel is a 15 minute taxi journey from the main train station and cost approx 15 euros. It's situated just off the main drag, Kurfürstendamm, and is a good location to explore the city of Berlin. It's not the easiest to locate, as it's a doorway next to the Egyptian restaurant. The rooms are adequate and clean, it's quite...

We were maybe unlucky but during our stay, the hotel was extremely noisy: drilling at all hours and super noisy air conditioning units so that one could not relax and rest properly. Throughout our stay, the wifi connection was so slow and broke down so frequently that it was unusable. The two young ladies at the reception gave me the...

Right in the centre of everything, Lovely rooms, breakfast excellent . Staff really friendly and helpful. Wished there had been a proper bar area, would have been nice to come back and relax instead of sitting in one of the surrounding bars/restaurants outside.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
