Very clean and tidy room and hotel. Lovely breakfast and staff very friendly and very helpful. Good location to explore Berlin, close to the underground and train station which will connect you to all the main points for visiting. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby.

For 10 years we have stayed at Hotel 26 on our close-to-annual Berlin trip. We absolutely love it and I have always wanted to keep it our secret, but now that big chain hotels are moving into Fredreichshain I will represent. Hotel 26 defines what I’ll call hip lowkey classy: lovely and attentive staff, very clean and simple rooms, gorgeous fresh flowers at the bar and dining area, and an awesome breakfast every day. All for an astoundingly reasonable price per night! It sits back from the street and is delightfully quiet and restful while having immediate access to the restaurants and activity of Fredreichshain. Now you know about one of our very favorite hotels. We have so much respect and affection for the people at Hotel 26, and we can’t thank them enough for years of warm and gracious hosting when we visit their city.

We stayed here for one night and have to say that the position is really good. 2min walk from the Tram station M10. The room is a bit old but clean. The breakfast selection is simple but all fresh prepared

This is a perfect haven for a busy city sightseeing trip. The quiet surroundings meant it was a peaceful and restful stay despite being on the go! Great location as we had to be at the Mercedes Benz arena for the first three days of our visit. Easily walkable. Good selection of transport nearby as well as a lively area close by for restaurants/nightlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well serviced. Great shower with lots of hot water! Breakfasts provided were a great start to the day with fresh produce .... bread rolls, eggs, meat, smoked salmon and cheeses and an ample supply of juices/teas/coffees. Only thing which would have been the icing on the cake would have been tea/coffee making facilities in the room - especially after a long day of sightseeing. However, there were plenty of places nearby where you could buy coffee etc during the day. Little convenience store nearby handy for snacks, water and beers. Also a very friendly little bar next door to hotel for a late night nightcap. We didn’t need it but parking is also available at this great hotel. Definitely will stay here again when I return to Berlin.

What a refreshing hotel. Not upmarket and overly fancy but more than basic. Large room, decent bed and furniture. Large bathroom for Eu standards. We stayed for 4 nights and found its location very good. Many restaurants, bars and entertainment close by (walking distance). Also close by two rails entry points. Hotel basement parking was used. Although expensive but worth it. You could use street parking but that was very cumbersome. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast included in the price was fantastic!!! We took aback room, shielding us from traffic noise. The room had large windows ...lots of fresh air. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Was a last minute trip and managed to find this hotel which was close to the hangout areas at a relatively good price during NYE time. The hotel is within walking distance to nice clubs and shopping area around Warshaeur street. Since i hardly spend time in the room, the room was just appropriate for my type of stay. It was simple and clean. Quiet location and simple setting. Staff is helpful and the owner was friendly with tips of where to eat etc. Outside the entrance, there is a city circle (hop on/hop off) bus stop which cost about 20 euros. The only setback is if you want room service and hot drink in the room. However you can go downstairs to get cuppa coffee and the cappuccino was surprisingly good! The wifi can be a bit of an issue if you want to use the wifi for worketc but since I was mainly out it didn't bother me too much.

Hotel 26 is a minimalist hotel. The rooms are basic and have no frills but big enough, very clean and adequate for a short city break. The hotel is also in a very quite area so had no trouble with noise outside etc. The complimentary breakfast offered is excellent, with freshly prepared capuccino, selection of cereals and dried fruits, breads, cuts, eggs and even smoked salmon (plus other things as well). A very good start to a nice day visiting such an interesting city. The hotel offers parking at a small extra cost which is ideal if you are travelling by car. Even though we did not use it, there seems to be a stop for hop-on hop-off buses right infront of the hotel. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel - good value for money!

Nice hotel, great breakfast, friendly staff. The location is also good, in a hipster area of Berlin with many restaurants and bars. There's a mini market really close by and the subway station is not far. There is a tram station right around the corner. The room had no aircon but a powerful fan that did the job nicely, regardless of it being around 30C in the evenings. Good shower, comfy bed. Wifi was good and steady. I'd definitely come back!

This is a very nice hotel, located in one of the multicultural places in Berlin. Location: So many exotic restaurants close to you every night; East Side Gallery from a 10 minutes walk; two main train and subway stations in 5 minutes walk; downtown in 15-20 minutes; safe area. The hotel rooms are always clean, and big enough for a short staying. Breakfast is awesome, no complains at all, and the hotel staff make you feel always welcome. Price is worth it.
