Garden Boutique Hotel looks forward to welcoming you on your visit to Berlin.
Location is perfect, just two tram stops from the Hauptbahnhof (fast trains to and from the new Willy Brant Airport) But so quite and peaceful, rooms and apartments look over an urban garden full of green and mature trees, quite idyllic and perfect for kissing your girlfriend in the quiet of an evening. We would recommend the studio apartments as these are extra large. There is a lovely smell of polish and old Berlin which is very welcoming when you enter the corridors and rooms. The rooms are furnished with retro but very fitting period furniture. There are lifts in the old block and the staff are very welcoming and very helpful. A lovely place if you want some quiet place in a busy city and a very different sort of hotel to the usual chain.
Don’t even think about it, it's not a boutique hotel but an average hostel at most: 1. When we arrived at 6:30 pm we had to check in independently and carry our luggage up three floors (since there in no elevator in the hotel). 2. The building is old and not maintained. 3. We got tiny stuffy room, the pics on web site do not reflect reality. 4. The location is bad. 5. Service is bat in fact we did not get any service 6.the "famous garden" is actually small & neglected 7. the only thing that resembles a boutique here is the outrageous price.
We had a lovely room at the very end of the garden -the room was big but in need of repaint. the furniture is ugly - the garden is lovely the location is good - they rent bikes which are a very must to cycle around
What a fabulous haven of loveliness in a great spot in Berlin. - very warm & friendly welcome - Great Garden Room with private terrace set in beautiful garden space with fish pond - gardens so well layed out & lovely to look at - waking up to birdsong is a wow factor - Breakfast is fresh, plentiful, varied & very good value for money ( cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, good variety of bread & rolls, fabulously crispy croissants, meats, cheeses, hot buffet, juices, tea coffee ) - could not fault it in any way - staff brilliant at helping with travel & directions as we explored Berlin - 5 mins from train & tram stops albeit we walked almost everywhere - decor is amazing & all public areas in hotel decorated with traditional charm & character to match the building - location excellent with many great coffee shops, restaurants, cafes on the doorstep. Huge thank you to the team at The Garden Boutique - we had an absolutely unforgettable experience staying with you & exploring Berlin - BIG thank you to Maxi the Cat for being so handsome & adoreable …
The hotel is in a great location, just outside the busy areas but well within reach of all the city. The garden is beautiful and the staff are really helpful. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Berlin.
I came here with my husband on our mini moon holiday. The room was quite nicely decorated, but didn’t have a fridge, and the whole hotel had no atmosphere at all. It was eerily quiet and you could hear everything your neighbour is doing and it feels like you have no privacy. The garden is very overrated- pictures look better than reality. Oh, and the free coffee SUCKED. Never tasted such crappy coffee in my life! Also, breakfast was very expensive and tasted terrible. They had no food labels so you have no idea what you are eating. Luckily there was a lovely austrailian cafe down the road. We didn’t feel like this was a special holiday for a honeymoon at all. We were dissapointed.
During a quick visit at a good American friend visiting Berlin, the Garden Boutique Hôtel was reserved for me. I was not expecting much on this trip. It was a happy surprise to be staying in an old building, that is not as common in Berlin. There is also as bonus, a nicely planted and set up garden. The room was very comfortable and the wake up in a concert of singing birds, charmingly. There is nothing fancy there, except the friendliness of the Staff and a very good morning buffet breakfast. Price is reasonable to be at 2 tram stops from the heart of Berlin.
Stayed 3 nights. The accommodations were wonderful. Loved the old world charm of decor and the history. Staff was amazing! Breakfast was beyond great! Close to everything. Very helpful with transportation support. The garden was lovely place to relax after a long day of site seeing...felt like you were in the country and not in the city. Would stay again!
Spacious , clean , superb staff, location can not be faulted, easy access to underground , bus and trams and a very good underground ( secure) car park ...but our room was 86 stairs in the roof. This was not advertised and made things like popping down to the garden for a coffee or going to the cafe over the road too much of an effort. So my advice is book this hotel as soon as you can but either be very fit or make sure you have a first floor room
Garden Hotel is located on a busy street at the edges of the Mitte area of Berlin, the building is non descriptions from outside, but inside it is a different world of calm, lovely decor and the peaceful garden. Every part of the hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room on the second floor was a bit of a climb as there was no lift but was lovely and quiet and came with a very comfortable bed. There did not appear to be air conditioning, but this was not an issue in March. The breakfast was very good except for the very average coffee and the dining room was very relaxing. The hotel is convenient for all modes of public transport, it's also possible to walk to the majour sites. A lovely hotel and recommended.
