My husband and I stayed at Schoenhouse with our two teenagers between Christmas and New Year’s. Our family was interested in an apartment hotel so we’d have a little extra space and wouldn’t have to eat out at restaurants for every meal. We also wanted to be within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Schoenhouse fit our needs very well....

The suburb seems very run down but lots of renovation is taking place in this area. These apartments were easy to find (we had a gps!) , modern, clean and a great size for the three of us. It was easy to get around Berlin using the train system. Don't drive! The service here was good and breakfast was also...

We stayed in the Schoenhouse Apartments at the beginning of December 2014. The location of the apartment was perfect, near the U2 line and only one station away from Alexanderplatz, surrounded by good restaurants and local stores (and two supermarkets nearby). We took a 4 person apartment, with is very big and made the kids very happy. Unfortunately the equipment...

This place is excellent. They'll pick you up from the airport, help you into your apartment and then ensure you make the most of your visit. Friendly, family focused and excellent value for money - this place is great!!!! Thank you Khalid.

Excellent quality for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it! It is easy to reach by bus, subway or even walking because it's very close to the main station, as well to many other places to shop or do sightseeing. The rooms are spacious, clean and fully equipped. There is a good breakfast selection for an additional but also...

We stayed here in the summer of 2013 and never got around to posting a review. Our kids were very little at the time of this visit, so it was perfect for us to have a large space with a usable kitchen. The nieghborhoos has lots of supermarkets and is close to a nice playground, which would have been difficult...

I was there at the end of November in 2014 and it was great. Granted, if you've had a spot to drink, finding your room via the courtyard can be "emotional", but the apartments and their little cafe - absolutely perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to any of my friends or family. There's plenty of space...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.

Hi there,

we have 4 buildings and 2 of them have elevators. For which date you are planning your berlin visit? Maybe you can write us an email with arrival date and name of the guest, so we can check if we have rooms available with elevator access. Please send us a short email with the above mentioned details. I'm not able to insert a emails address :-(

Many thanks in advance and we are happy to welcome you as our guest.

Best regards

It depends what type of food you like. If for instance hamburger then small place on torstrasse close to shonhauser strasse. If Italian then as you exit the apartments on right there is an Italian deli and small restaurant, if Vietnamese then again near U2 entrance there is orienal restaurant called "Good morning Vietnam" I think. you can always find something for your taste
